October is here, and that means Halloween is in the air! If you're looking for fun Halloween things to do this year, you're in luck. From family-friendly events to adult Halloween parties and more, there are tons of awesome Halloween festivities going on in the area. Check out this list of things to do for Halloween in Myrtle Beach:

Storytelling at the Farm

Pippa the Pumpkin Princess and Willow the Witch will share their stories on October 8th at Thompson Farm. Pictures with the two will be avaiable after the fairytales. The activities are included with general admission which is $15 for adults and $13.50 for children.

Flashlights & Firework Fridays

Bring your flashlight to Thompson Farm every Friday night this October for Flashlight & Fireworks Fridays! See if you can make your way through the largest corn maze in the state! The maze is open to all ages, and after you make your way through, stick around for some awesome fireworks! Admission is $10/person. ABC15 WPDE and Chick-Fil-A of Conway are sponsoring this year's maze.

Candy in the Corn Trick or Treat Trail

Thompson Farm will host Candy in the Corn Trick or Treat Trail every Saturday in October. Kids in costume will have a chance to wind through a special kid-sized corn maze to find their very own treats. Pippa the Pumpkin Princess, Will the Witch, the Chick-Fil-A Cow and other fun characters will be around for the fun too!

Toto's Day on the Farm

Join Thompson Farm on October 15, 2016 for Toto's Day on the Farm! Bring your dog dressed in their best costume for a fun contest and they could win a special Paw Package. The all day event is included in general admission. Pets must be registered by 2 p.m. to be entered in the costume contest.

Grand Strand Witches’ Night

Head on out to the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk on October 15th for the annual Grand Strand Witches' Night! Funds raised will proceed the Childrens' Recovery Center of Myrtle Beach. Donations for the raffle are now being accepted. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1/each.

Dr. Screams will be hosting two scary haunted houses this October! Starting on October 19th, you can get your scare on at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach. Or, you can head over to Broadway at the Beach starting October 14th.

Conway Ghost Walk: Spirits of the Lowcountry


The Conway Ghost Walk: Spirits of the Lowcountry is a storytelling festival that revolves around the lore and history of Conway. Follow your guide on a 60-minute tour of Conway while you hear all kinds of great stories.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Reservations are suggested or tickets can be purchased at the Conway Visitor Center.

C.B. Berry Community & Historical Center Pumpkin Hunt

Pick out your favorite Halloween Costume for this year's C.B. Berry Community & Historical Center Pumpkin Hunt in Little River. This fun event will take place on October 22, 2016 and will feature crafts, hayrides, live music, and much more. You can even search for candy around Vereen Memorial Gardens, too!
This is a free event open to ages 3-12. For those participating in the pumpkin hunt, please arrive at least 15 minute prior to the event.

Pancakes with the Pumpkin Princess

Thompson Farm and Nursery in Conway is hosting tons of fun events this fall, including Pancakes with the Pumpkin Princess! This kid-friendly event will take place on October 23rd, and will include brunch as well as storytime and photo ops. Brunch is $25 for adults and $18 for children ages 4-12. Please RSVP for this event. After brunch, the Pumpkin Princess Pageant will take place, and it is included in general admission.
