Sandy Beach Resort

This resort is in a perfect spot. On the beach and close to some shopping. I loved that we did not have far to walk to get on the beach. The room had a beautiful view as well. Loved sitting on the balcony every day and being able to look at the ocean. The room itself was very clean and nice.

WE as a Family and taken many Friends over the 30 plus years , always will continue to go to MB.. yes we have stayed at several Hotels over the years , and enjoyed most , but the last several years we have stayed at Sandy Beach , as we enjoy the hotel, and the rooms we are able to get , and yes , our Canadian dollar plays a part ..It is our only holiday we take once a year, so we do look forward to it , each year .. as we are this year as well .. we are booked into Sandy Beach for April 26th this year ( 2019 ) as well and looking forward to it .. Being Canadian we hope to be able to spend a couple months there down the road , but until then we will enjoy the two weeks in April and May ..

Been such a fun family visit every time. Its gorgeous and always brings the family together. Can't wait to come back.

Sandy Beach has been the resort of choice for our family for the last several years. We love the location near the water park and Family Kingdom. It's also accessible to several restaurants, so we can walk if we don't want to drive. We love Sandy Beach and have never had any issues. It's always been clean, comfortable, and the staff is always willing to help if there's ever a problem. Can't wait to visit this October.

We always have a great time when we stay here! It's close to everything we love to do and right on the ocean. It can't be beat!

We have stayed in 4 different hotels in Myrtle beach the last 6 years but Sandy Beach Resort is our absolute favorite! The resort is clean, staff was friendly and the views are amazing! I always recommend this resort to all family and friends who are planning a vacation! Our 2018 summer vacation is already in the works!

Loved the resort. Our family has stayed there multiple times now and has changed from another in the area to always coming to the Sandy Beach. It's in a great location and the extras are amazing.

We have been coming to Myrtle Beach as snowbirds for the last 10 years. This is the first time at Sandy Beach Resort and so far we love it here. Very comfortable. We enjoy eating at the wonderful restaurants in the area.

WE have been going to Myrtle Beach for over 30 years , and have stayed at several different hotels , and have been pleased with most , but have been going to Sandy Beach Resort for several years now , we were there Christmas and over New Years , and booked to go back again last week of April first week of May .... very pleased with House keeping , front desk , pools , grounds , suites but will admit as we stay in different suites each time , some are better kept than others, especially the beds , but will say the front desk , is excellent to fix any issues they can as soon as possible .. no place is perfect , but then home is not always perfect either ..we also love the location of sandy Beach Resort ..and the Beach , great walking ,easy walk up to the Board walk , and across the street is Family Kingdom , great for all ages ... the list goes on .. best to come to Myrtle Beach and check it out for your self ..

I have been coming to Myrtle Beach since early 80's.......I had introduced my currently family back in 2000 & we have made this our ever year ritual......We really enjoy the great family atmosphere all around the city and of course the ocean scenery is very relaxing & not so over cowered as other beach destinations......I'm speaking for the whole family here We Love Myrtle Beach & please don't change anything.......The Pack's.....

We just celebrated our 24th anniversary . The stay was wonderful. The room was clean and you smell the clean freshness when you enter the hotel and the elevators. We will definitely come back again

We had another great girls week at Myrtle Beach.

Every year (5 years) we say it is our last one but we never have enough so we always go back! Clean, safe, lots of fun, lots to do, weather, hot sea, clean beach, everything is great! We will see you again this summer in July, same hotel for sure!

Sandy Beach is the best place to stay in Myrtle Beach. Started staying there in 2013,I will continue to stay there when I am in town. Very clean and you could not asks for a better staff. Hope to see you soon!!!

We have stayed here several times. Love the area! Rooms are big enough to accommodate a family of 5 and sometimes 7. Oceanfront rooms on the higher floors have great views.

Myrtle Beach is my happy place! There is so much to do and see...and eat!! My daughter tells me I should be mayor of Myrtle Beach since I talk it up so much and give people recommendations of where to eat, stay and fun things to do!!

We stay here every year for our Anniversary. The best part of being here is when you first walk in you can tell it is clean. From the elevator until you walk in your room. The staff is very friendly. The 3 bedroom angle suite remind us of being at home. We give it 5 stars and will continue to tell our friends

We have been staying at Sandy Beach Resort every year for about the last 8 years and sometimes twice a year. Everything about this resort is first class. We had two occasions where we had emergencies come up and had to leave early or not stay at all. Both times the staff at Sandy Beach were comforting as well as generous with giving us our money back. This is our choice for a great place to stay every time were in Myrtle Beach.

Sandy Beach has been our favorite for over 25 years, not only a great condos, but convenient location to attractions, shopping and restaurants!

Loved this hotel... We were upgraded at hotels expense when guests decided to stay longer...so we got a fantastic upgrade....people at checking were very nice....room was beyond excellent...had a wonderful time!!

we stayed there after bike week and didn't know that it was black bike week. Friday night was absolutely terrible in Myrtle Beach. We were going to stay until Monday, but when we could not get down ocean blvd or anywhere, couldn't park and when we came downstairs on saturday morning. there were beer cans everywhere. The noise from friday night and all the other goings on we decided to leave Saturday morning. As we wnt to check out the Manager of the hotel came over to us and gave us a refund for our 2 1/2 days that we didn't want to spend with all the trouble from the night before. I will add he was very generous with his refund for us. We went down and started to load our things in our truck, and the Manager came outside and again appoligised for our trouble. I am coming back to Myrtle Beach this year again in May and I booked the same hotel. These workers at this hotel are outstanding

The hotel was very clean, and updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, and the a/c worked great. It was clean, the view was great, and the beds were comfortable. The pools were large, and had plenty of space around them for everyone to have a lounge chair and room to lay out. The beach was only steps away and the shower at the gate was usually clean and easy to maneuver. The only problem we had was with parking. The parking lot is across the road from the hotel, and filled up quickly during the evening/night after we would come back from dinner. We usually had to park at the far end and it was a good little walk over to the hotel, which isn't bad on a nice night, but it is not so great when it is raining. Esp when it is raining and you try to get from the hotel to your car and not ruin your make up and clothes and hair on your way out to dinner. Other than the parking, we love this hotel and will more than likely return!

First off, we had planned to stay next door. So we began our research. The reviews for Sandy Beach Resort had us sold. Upon arrival, we were pleased from the beginning. The outside was clean and stylish, the ease to check in was quick,and easy. We were greeted with huge smiles. The entire facility smelled amazingly fresh and clean. Parking was right across the street. Never had any trouble finding a spot. We stayed on the 14th floor in the Palmetto building in a 1 bdrm suite. The room looked exactly like the pictures. Very clean, kitchen was up to date with plenty of space. The washer and dryer was a huge bonus. Plenty of room for our family. The views were amazing. To the left you have the 2nd Avenue pier view, to the right we had the convience of all the water activity rentals. The location is perfect. A convenient store across the street, the amusement park less than a block away.

Clean, relaxing, staff are great. We have been to Sandy Beach Resort two years ago, and looking forward to our return in the middle of March.

My sisters and I shopped, ate, relaxed and listened to the ocean. We go to Myrtle Beach for this reason and have been doing this for as long as I can remember. Myrtle Beach is located close enough to Charleston, Savannah and Wilmington when we feel the need spread our love of history and bargain hunting.

Sandy Beach Resort is a fabulous place to stay in Myrtle Beach. It is centrally located, with a grocery store and amusement park right across the street. It is great for the kids. There are several pools including a great kiddie pool. The kiddie pool could use some maintenance but otherwise was great. The stag. Was very accommodating, and housekeeping is top notch.

This was a fantastic hotel located very close to all the attractions. Accommodations were perfect.

We stayed at Sandy Beach Resort for a week for the 4th of July. It was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and my kids loved their kid play area! I would definatly stay here again on my next trip to the beach!

Stayed there last time in Myrtle Beach and will be back in August! Looked at so many resorts and Hotels and we always come back to Sandy Beach. Nice updated rooms, very clean resort with a very friendly staff!

Very clean room. Comfortable beds and sofa. Friendly and sociable housekeeping staff. We came in as a walk in because the hotel we were supposed to stay at messed up our reservation and we had nowhere else to go. We stopped at a small hotel and they didn't have a room big enough, so the guy called The Sandy Beach and spoke with Sam and she had a room within our budget. So we go to the resort to check in and Sam got us the room cheaper than she originally told us!!! great people and a great trip!!! Thank you so much for such a great time.

Sandy Beach Resort is a great place to stay in Myrtle Beach. It's clean, modern, the unit we stayed in made us feel like we were at home. It had everything you would need. The staff are wonderful, they're friendly and very helpful. The beach is great there and it is a great location.

4th Stay at SB. Front desk employees are always very nice and friendly. Stayed in corner 2 br condo. It was clean and housekeeping was very good. The only complaint I have with SB is lots of unsupervised kids in and around the pool. I think you are not supposed to be down there unsupervised under the age of 10 and that is not enforced very well. But overall still think it is best place to stay for the money that I have found.

They have a very clean and inviting resort. It’s such a great place to spend your time in the sunshine, white sand and salt water. I been going there for years.

My family and I throughly enjoy our summer vacation at Myrtle Beach. There is so much enjoyment and entertainment that the possibilities are endless. We love staying at the Sandy Beach Resort, because it's a high quality resort within walking distance to the beautiful 2nd Avenue Pier. My children enjoy hours of fishing on the pier and their restaurant is amazing. In the evenings we spend our evenings on the boardwalk or at Family Kingdom so our children can enjoy the rides. We also enjoy evenings at Broadway on the Beach or Barefoot Landing. The restaurants at the beach are some of the best on the East Coach. We absolutely love our summers spent at beautiful Myrtle Beach.

Lets get the negative out of the way. Outside pools were uncomfortably hot and the skimmers on the south pool did not do a good job at keeping the pool clean. The positives. This establishment had an employee that watched the pool area that looked to be maybe 16 years old. This employee is great, he would clean the pool if he noticed any refuse in it. If You mention the refuse in the pool to him he would be happy to clean it. The FRONT DESK STAFF. I have been going to this establishment for over 15 years and the front desk staff and managers has always had their stuff together, they are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room keepers have been great, if You are just needing towels or the entire room cleaned, anything to make You happy. LOCATION. This place is located in what I would consider the most perfect location in Myrtle Beach. The reasons for the Perfect location, far enough away from the pavilion that the crowd is manageable, multiple restaurants within walking distance to include my favorite, Athena's Filipino Restaurant and Bar. A water-sports rental, a great pier with a restaurant, fishing equipment rental and fireworks on Wednesday nights, a beachfront water-park and a amusement park within a few hundred meters of the hotel. The Pavilion is within walking distance. This place is located so there is multiple, great routes to get anywhere in Myrtle Beach. A short drive will get You to other water parks, hundreds of restaurants, a huge mall, Broadway at the Beach (a huge local draw that has tons of stores, restaurants, wonder works, zip-lines, boat rides an beautiful aquarium, two theaters, games and the list goes on and on). THE BEACH. The beach here is great, wide and not usually over crowded with a bar and restaurant next door, drinks and food are easily had either at the pool or on the beach. I love this Place!

Very friendly staff. The hotel is clean and located in prime location to walk to several restaurants, shops and amusement parks/areas. The open parking lot is wonderful as our family dislike parking garages. The pool area could stand some modifications but otherwise it is a great place to stay.

We love the sandy beach. This time we stayed in the older section which does need a lot of upgrading but still a great stay. Great location for activities, restaurants and beach access. Staff has always been incredible and helpful. As always a great vacation!

We have stayed at the Sandy Beach Resort a few times. Overall we found the hotel room to be very clean and the staff was very friendly. The only problem we found was the pool was not as clean as our previous stays.

i TOOK MY GRANDKIDS AND THEY ENJOYED TICKETS TO THE PAVILION AND WILD WATER AND WHEELS. THEY ESPECIALLY LIKE THE BOAT RIDE. AFTER WE GOT MOVED FROM FIRST ROOM WITH ROACHES, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.

I thought the hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We did have to ask for clean towels a couple of times.

I've only stayed in the Palmetto Building, which is the newer of the two buildings. There are granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The beds are very comfy, but there is NO alarm clock (call the front desk for a wake-up call). Bathrooms are very nice. Always clean! Washer/Dryer in the room is a great added bonus so you don't have to take home dirty laundry (yuck!). Parking is across the street, but convenient. Loading/unloading area is kind of cramped, but there is always a security guard out there to make sure it goes smoothly.

It was nice but I thought it would've been better for the price.

Needs a real updating and a complete cleaning!!! The hide a bed and couch need to be removed from the building, they were filthy. The balcony furniture was cheap and dirty. Parking across the street, a little inconvenient. I had no real interaction with the staff, so i can't speak to that, but everyone seemed very personable and capable. My wife dealt with the staff and everyone she dealt with was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I gave it 3 stars for the staff. I answered yes to would we stay again because maybe was not an option. The best part of the stay, Macadoos beach bar located behind the hotel.

We have stayed the Sandy Beach Resort now 4 separate times. This past vacation- we decided we'd never plan to stay at the Sandy Beach Resort again... Our trip in 2014, began with us looking through our hotel room kitchen cabinets.. EVERY SINGLE DISH, CUP, SILVERWARE, & PANS were FILTHY!!! And I'm talking... Dried lipstick on glasses..dry, Stuck on food... Coffee IN the coffee cups (ewww!) ... Crumbs on the pans (in the oven!)... And HAIR in the refrigerator!!! We were absolutely disgusted!!! What a way to start off a vacation we'd looked forward to all year! Yuck! I got all the dishes & pans gathered up in a box, & took them to the front desk & requested to speak with a manager. I showed him all the dirty dishes & pans.. He was immediately embarrassed- got us all brand new dishes & pans ... & offered to take $100 off our hotel stay.... & he had our rooms 're-cleaned.' He was kind & did all he could to make things better... Which was very appreciated. ... On previous vacations while staying at the Sandy Beach Resort, we've encountered arriving & none of the kitchen appliances worked (!)... Not the microwave or the stove top burners... There was no vacancy- so they couldn't do anything to assist us. The time before that, we arrived to a filthy hotel room... Socks on the floor (most likely from the last visitors), dirt & hair all along the floor in the bathroom & kitchen... Trash on the outside of the couch cushion & a reciept left on the table. ... Our first experience was great- unfortunately, none of the following stays there were quite as nice. The best part about the Sandy Beach Resort, is they have great pools, the location is wonderful (nothing more beautiful than fireworks over the ocean from the 2nd Ave. pier!), & we've had some great family memories there... AND FRUITTI's is within walking distance! ... But this year- we'll make new memories at a different hotel!
