Tara Ballroom at Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort Completes Renovation
06/24/2009
June 24, 2009, Litchfield Beach, S.C. – Representatives of Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort announced today that the $250,000 renovation to the Tara Ballroom is now complete with the historic ballroom once again a popular south strand host for events, weddings, parties and meetings.
Located in the Tara Conference Center at Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort, the Tara Ballroom originally opened in the 1980’s as the only two-screen movie theater in the Litchfield Beach area. The 3,300-square-foot ballroom can now accommodate as many as 300 guests.
The project began in 2008 and was completed in the spring of 2009. The Tara Ballroom features a new stage; paint and carpet in both the ballroom and the lobby; cypress wood paneling in the lobby and hallway; renovated restrooms; upgraded sound and lighting systems; a 14ft ceiling with custom chandeliers and new artwork throughout.
“The Tara Ballroom has been a popular site for conferences, meetings, galas, fundraisers and wedding receptions since it opened, and now that the renovation project is complete, the ballroom is now a brighter, elegant, more functional and modern space,” said Ray Crabb, general manager of Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort. “We feel that the ballroom is a great fit with the newly-opened Seaside Inn and the Summerhouse accommodations at the Resort.”
