The newly built Cayman Tower at Caribbean Resort features two-, three- and four-bedroom West Indies-style condos, as well as an indoor/outdoor pool, lazy river, kiddie pool, whirlpool, splash deck, Tiki Grille, poolside bar, and fitness, video game and meeting rooms. Families will love the Caribbean Kidz Club in the summer months.
And for guests who prefer smaller, quieter accommodations, there are The Jamaican Inn and the Chelsea House condos and courtyard across the street from the main resort.

A proposal before the city council seeking to change the name of Myrtle Beach to Carolina City appears to have the support of at least four of the seven council members. Proponents of the name change, which has drawn widespread criticism from locals and tourism leaders alike, say they have convinced enough city leaders the new name is best for the community.
