For those families looking for a quieter atmosphere we offer the Chelsea 2 and 3 bedroom condos. Whether you're looking for a family vacation, group golf outing, romantic weekend with your special someone or entertainment holiday, come and experience the Caribbean Resort. We know you'll enjoy your stay!

What to expect: The resort attracts families seeking casual holidays featuring water-attraction fun, who wish to be north of heavier downtown traffic while remaining within easy driving distance of downtown attractions. Guests age 20 and younger are not permitted unless accompanied by an adult.
Amenity highlights: A 200-foot lazy river sheltered by a solarium in winter provides year-round fun. Sharing the same outdoor deck is an unheated 50-foot-long free-form pool and a 16-person spa tub.
Insider tip: The resort offers golfers playing privileges to the celebrated and private Dunes Golf Course seven miles away.

The Caribbean is a great place to stay. The amenities are awesome and the kids really loved the slide. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. I would recommend the Caribbean to all my friends.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Caribbean. The entire place was clean and well kept. The staff was courteous and showed true southern hospitality. The rates were very good compared to other properties that didn't have as much to offer. The pool area is spacious and the kids attractions are very pleasing. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

What a great place! We loved the slide and soooooo close to Broadway! My boyfriend even got to play some golf while we were there. Thanks!

I visited the Caribbean with my grand parents and it was great! I don't get to see them very often and we had such a good time. We stayed in the Dominican Tower and they just redid the whole kitchen which Grandma loved. Thanks from us all.

My wife and I brought the kids down for their spring break. It was our first time staying at the Caribbean and we loved it! The three bedroom condo that we stayed in was beautiful. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in referring us to a local pizza place called Ultimate California Pizza. It was great! We had so much fun that we already made a reservation to come back this summer!

We have stayed at the Caribbean Resorts for over 30 years--way back when it was a much smaller hotel. We have always loved it even as it keeps growing they have maintained the personal touch. We recently had to change our reservation due to a death in our family and the management made sure everything worked out for us during a difficult time. We also love the clean rooms, and being right next door to the best restaurant at the beach--The Sea Captains House. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We joined a family member who had been there for the entire month of Feb 2011. The winter rental rate for a 1-bedroom (sleeps 6) was very well-priced. Unfortunately, for one month, only rooms in the Dominican Tower were available, which were a bit dated, but completely worth it. The location is amazing -- you can walk to decent restaurants and activities. And the indoor pool and lazy river was spectacular. Kids loved it. The only issue I had with the pool area was that they must have washed down the deck area with pure bleach -- the smell was overwhelming after cleaning and my bathing suit faded several shades that week. Still, we're going back in 2012 for a respite from winter.

We stayed here in June of 2011, and previously in May of 2009. Both times the facilities were great - we love all the pools, lazy rivers, the parking garage across the street is convenient, and we like being close to Broadway at the Beach. Check in was great, the people at the front desk were amazingly helpful, but both times we have had issues with maintenance and housekeeping.
We stayed in the Dominican in 2009 and had issues with a leaking refrigerator - I failed to mention this in my previous review because it eventually fixed itself, so it didn't sour the whole trip. One night around 11, we came in from the balcony and there was water all over the floor in front of it. We called that night and they said they would send someone the next day. It never happened. Luckily that problem fixed itself after two days of having towels on the floor in the middle of the kitchen, never did figure out the cause.
Now onto our trip this summer. We stayed in a 3-bedroom condo on the 11th floor of the Cayman tower. The room was great, and the view was amazing. It was a great size, and we had plenty of room. We had issues with the toilet in the master bath from day one - just seemed to run slow, that sort of thing. Well, on day three, it finally overflowed all over the bathroom floor around 2 in the afternoon. Called the front desk, said they would send maintenance up. He came up about 30 mins later - not too bad for that size of a resort - and fixed the problem, and radioed to housekeeping to send someone to clean up the mess. After 45 mins, I called the front desk again because housekeeping never came. She said she would send someone up. 30 mins later, housekeeping finally came up to clean up the mess. I was in the process of getting my 1-year-old son up for a nap so I didn't pay attention to what all she did, but she came in and mopped, and after she left, I noticed she took the dirty mop head off and LEFT IT ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER. Seriously? Like I want a mop head full of toilet water on the kitchen counter. Good thing I had packed a container of clorox wipes!
On our last day, we ran out of toilet paper - partially our fault, we declined housekeeping the day before because we were in the room when she came by, and I didn't realize we were that low or I would've grabbed a few extra rolls. Called downstairs at 7:30am for two rolls (one for each bathroom), front desk promised to send someone up. By 8am, nothing. Called down again, the woman working the front desk apologized but then said it wasn't her fault because she wasn't the one who answered the call the first time. I personally don't care whose fault it was, just send someone up with toilet paper. They finally arrived around 8:30 with one roll of toilet paper for two bathrooms. I told her I guess we'll just use kleenex in the other bathroom, and they'll end up with another toilet problem again. She came back with another roll 20 mins later.
We are returning to Myrtle Beach at the end of April, but we have booked another resort. Going to try something different this time. It's a shame too, because I loved the Caribbean's facilities, but the service left a bad impression. I shouldn't have to waste a beautiful afternoon inside waiting for housekeeping or be stressed out over toilet paper on my vacation.
