The popularity of microbreweries has been sky-rocketing in recent years, and for fans of the smaller batch beverage, New South Brewery is a must-visit during your Myrtle Beach vacation.
Founded in 1998 with the goal of providing fresh, quality draft beers to Grand Strand locals and visitors, New South now offers seven products – Lager, Stout, White Ale, Dark Star Porter, IPA, Oktoberfest, and Nut Brown Ale.
Visitors to the facility can take a guided-tour to see how each of the beers are made, sampling them along the way before stopping in to have a pint or two at their on-site bar. And, odds are, you’ll like at least one of the brews enough to take home a six-pack or growler.
Tours take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 p.m. and draft pours and retail sales are available on those days (and Fridays) from 4:30 – 7 p.m.
Part of the microbrewery movement is trying new ones, and who knows, New South might be brewing one that you’ll have to take home and rave about to all of your friends.
