Shallotte River Swamp Park – Zipline, Aerial & Nature Park

Located just across the South Carolina/North Carolina border, the Shallotte River Swamp Park is an outdoor adventure center that is more than worth the short drive from Myrtle Beach. This outdoor park is home to several amazing adventures that are great for your family vacation to the Grand Strand.  Not only can you create unforgettable memories at Shallotte River Swamp Park, but you can also experience the true beauty of the nature of the Carolinas.

Shallotte River Swamp Park is home to three different types of adventures: zipline tours, Swamp Boat Eco-Tours, and the Aerial Adventure Park.  The zipline tours take you high above the park, providing visitors the chance to get a unique bird’s-eye view of the swamp below, as well as an opportunity to spot wildlife such as wild boar, owls, raccoons, turkeys, and deer. The zipline tour involves traversing through 10 zipline stations tucked away among 100-year-old cypress trees. Guests will have a blast making their way through 1.25 miles of zipline for approximately 2-2.5 hours.

The Aerial Adventure Park at Shallotte River Swamp Park is an enthralling ropes course that is offered in three different levels of difficulty so that people ages 4 and up can enjoy the thrill of the attraction. This aerial ropes course boasts 53 challenges including obstacles, bridges, and more. This exciting adventure lasts for 2 hours.

Shallotte River Swamp Park’s Swamp Boat Eco-Tours allows guests to take a break from being high up in the trees and witness the swamps from what they call a “frog’s-eye view.” During these eco-tours, visitors will get to take a smooth ride through the Shallotte River Swamp and learn about the history and nature of the area. The Swamp Boat Eco-Tours last about 50 minutes.

Of course, Shallotte River Swamp Park wants your entire family to enjoy the benefits of their attractions, so they also offer a Kiddie Park where kids can learn and play in the outdoors.
