Atlantic Stage

This professional theatre company was founded in 2008 by a group of artists working at Coastal Carolina University, with the goal of broadening the cultural horizon along the Grand Strand.

Atlantic Stage’s black box theatre is located on the corner of 79th Avenue and Bypass 17, an intimate 144-seat space with no bad seats in the house.

The performers, directors, and designers focus on staging classical, contemporary, and new plays and musicals that will entertain and enlighten all kinds of audiences.

Past productions include The Glass Menagerie, A Christmas Story, Driving Miss Daisy, as well as cutting edge current works by contemporary writers like Yasmina Reza, David Lindsay-Abaire, and David Auburn.
