Crocodile Rocks

Crocodile Rocks

One of the most popular clubs in Myrtle Beach, Crocodile Rocks is also the area’s only dueling-piano show.

Bringing the New Orleans tradition to Broadway at the Beach, this Celebrity Square attraction features the music, lyrics, and jokes of Mark Kaufman, Greg Laughlin, Dave Makson, Dean Edwards, and Larry Frost, and is sure to entertain all adult audiences.

Two or more of the men perform each night, playing unique, crowd-pleasing covers of hits new and old (think “Joy to the World,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Piano Man,” etc.), encouraging audience interaction and participation to keep the atmosphere lively throughout the night. Requests are taken and sometimes played, and keep an eye on the stage in case someone in your party gets called up to dance or be serenaded.

The space is a two-level old-style bar room (big on space, low on frills), with the performers setting up on the lower level and the crowd filling in wherever they can on benches downstairs, standing against the railings, or looking down from the upper level.

Doors open at 7 every night of the week and the pianos start at 8. Locals always get in free with an ID to prove it, and there’s also no cover before 8 p.m. for anyone Sunday through Thursday. Otherwise, the cover is $10 and includes admission to Revolutions, which is just across the square.
