The 8th Avenue Tiki Bar & Grill

Restaurants that take the time to prepare everything in-house are usually worth a visit, and 8th Avenue Tiki Bar & Grill is one of those restaurants. The menu here is divided into several categories – Starters, Wings, Salads, Chicken, Burgers, Steaks and Seafood, Skewers, Pizza, Sides, and Desserts. Yep, it’s a lot to take in, so you might find yourself needing to go again and again.

8th Avenue Tiki Bar & Grill Food

The exhaustive Starter options include Chicken Fajita Spring Rolls, Island Coconut Shrimp, house-made Hummus, the house favorite 8th Avenue Schnitzel, which is pan fried chicken with honey mustard, and the Very Adult Mac & Cheese, a deep fried wonder served with spicy dipping sauce.

Wings are available in small, large, or boneless portions, and come tossed in any one of nine different flavors including Spicy Teriyaki, Garlic Parmesan, and Tropic Thunder, which is another house specialty.

For some fresh greens, check out the Summer Shrimp Salad with grilled shrimp, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh pineapples, and champagne vinaigrette, or the Israeli Greek Salad with way too many ingredients to name, but think Greek salad with the addition of bell peppers, celery, pecans, and basil.

The Chicken, Burgers, Steaks, and Seafood section (a.k.a. sandwiches) is vast and includes highlights like the Hawaiian Island BLT with grilled shrimp, smoked bacon, sliced avocado, lettuce, and sourdough bread, or the Guinness Burger, which has an 8oz. patty topped with Guinness-caramelized onions and white cheddar cheese.

Another of the Tiki Bar’s specialty is their skewers, which come in 2 ft. portions loaded with veggies and your choice of Chicken, Kabob, Rib-eye, Vegetable, or Shrimp. The Pizzas are personal size (10 inches) and the options for toppings include Margherita style, Chicken Fajita, and Hawaiian.

8th Avenue Tiki Bar & Grill Atmosphere

Given the name, the interior is pretty much what you’d expect – one recent diner described the décor as “Tiki Tacky,” but in the best way possible. It is, after all, a Boardwalk restaurant, which also means that the views from the patio are fantastic, especially at night. They also have live music and karaoke weekly, giving the place a party atmosphere.
