Out and About on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.
Make sure on your next visit to Myrtle Beach you include a day or evening along thee 1.2 mile stretch of oceanfront boardwalk. It stretches from the Second Avenue Pier to Banditos Bar and Restaurant just north of the 14th Avenue Pier. The walkway features raised wooden decks, brick pavers and dune landscaping with vegetation to create a serene, peaceful yet natural beach experience.
Begin your day with a stop at the 2nd Avenue Pier. Head out over the water to cast a line or stroll on the pier. If you are hungry, grab a bite at the restaurant with sweeping ocean views or enjoy the 360 degree view of the rooftop bar.
Next head north and be sure to stop at Sharkey’s bar and Grill offering some of breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Ready for a game of mini golf with the family, try your hand at Shark Attack Mini Golf Course and yes, it is oceanfront. They have 2 18 hole courses with themed holes and fun facts sprinkled as you move along the course.
All of the golfing has the entire family hungry. Head to the main section of the Boardwalk where you are greeted with carnival and nostalgia atmosphere with its sights, sounds and energy coupled with the sidewalk cafes, arcades, amusements and more.
Take a bite of history as you visit Peaches Corner that has been in business in the area for over 75 years, so grab a beer and a hot dog and take in look at some of the old pictures as you see how Myrtle Beach once was.
Ready to explore explore the area from new heights, then climb aboard the Skywheel as you can see for miles on a clear day. If you want to shop, no worries, there is something for everyone.
