When is Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2016?

The Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally will take place on May 13-22, 2016 in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally will take place on September 26-October 2, 2016 in Myrtle Beach, SC.

 

When is Atlantic Bike Week / Black Bike Week 2016?

Atlantic Beach Bike Week / Black Bike Week will be held May 27-30, 2016

 

How many people attend these events?

According the official Myrtle Beach Bike Week website, approximately 275,000-300,000 people attend the Spring Rally and nearly 25,000 people attend the Fall Rally.

According to a Black Bike Week website, approximately 350,000 people travel to Myrtle Beach for this Memorial Day Weekend event.

What is the Traffic Loop?

During Atlantic Bike week, traffic gets kind of crazy, so the City of Myrtle Beach puts in place a traffic loop, which helps with the flow of traffic around the city. This 23-mile traffic loop goes into effect from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from May 27-May 29, 2016. This is to prevent gridlock.

The traffic loops is as follows:

Ocean Boulevard traffic will all be one way (southbound), starting at 29th Avenue North and running to South Kings Highway, along with an extended loop past Ocean Boulevard.

Friday, May 27- Monday May, 29, 2016 the northbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard will be reserved for emergency vehicles only.

Access to Ocean Boulevard will be granted at 29th Avenue North, with no entry pointes north of that point.

 

Other Need to Know Rules:

There may be no more than two motorcycles in a single public parking space. If the motorcycles are parked in a pay-to-park space, both vehicles must pay for parking and properly display their parking stubs.

•South Carolina requires helmets for motorcycle drivers and passengers under the age of 21. However, helmets are encouraged for the safety of all riders.

•There is a noise ordinance in the City of Myrtle Beach which prohibits excessive noises such as loud music, revving engines, and spinning tires.
