When the sprawling Avista Resort opened in 2005, in North Myrtle Beach, the resort set the standard for a new style of family resorts filled with the most modern conveniences, on-site amenities, unparallel ocean views, and family fun.
Just two blocks and a short walk to the heart of the old beach town on Main Street, filled with its storied shag clubs, arcades, and lively nightlife, the oceanfront Avista is perfectly situated. Near enough to the fun, but far enough away to offer quieter times, the resort manages to blend the two perfectly.
Unlike older resorts, some of which have been on the beach for 40-plus years, the Avista sparkles with a modern, hi-tech design, large floor plans, and incredible views, whether in a direct oceanfront room, or a budget-friendly ocean view room.
All of the units, regardless of one, two, or three bedroom floor plans, offer balconies, large windows, with lots of natural light, spacious kitchens, modern appliances, TVs, and plenty of cushy furniture for relaxing indoors after a day at the beach, or a night on the town.
Two 16-story towers are separated by a modern, inviting atrium where guests will find the 24-hour front desk with bell stand and porter service. Two pools, a lazy river, kiddie pool and hot tub cover your splash and relax requirements. Seasonally open restaurants, a poolside grill, The Tree-Top lounge, and in-room dining options may give you cause to visit the well-equipped fitness center. There are even convention facilities and meeting rooms for that next corporate outing.
Whether you choose to stay at the Avista Resort and never leave the property, or you choose to get out to golf, shop and explore the nightlife, you’ll always have a comfy, quiet room to rest and rejuvenate, because tomorrow promises another fabulous day at the beach, and a fabulous stay at the Avista.

Great location. Can walk to Hoskins. Close to other restaurants.
The only bad thing I can say was it was over too soon. Great food, shopping, and we even rode the Skywheel! And of course the beach!!!
Great place for your family and Freind. Everything is close bye the resort. The resort prides itself on keeping it clean thanks again
We have a disabled child. Avista provided a large room, a restaurant and ease of maneuvering around the resort for her wheelchair. The indoor pool was a perfect temperature for her to enjoy.
Take a dip in one of the two outdoor pools, kiddy pool or two hot tubs. Avista Resort also has an indoor pool, lazy river and hot tub.
Guests at Avista Resort have the choice between one, two, and three bedroom condos that feature fully equipped kitchens with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, and appliances, as well as private balconies with beautiful views.
