Loved my stay at the DAYTON house! Right on the beach... inside and outside pools were very clean! Walking distance to so much! And a 5 minute drive to Broadway on the Beach! I highly recommend the stay here! Cant wait to visit again! Winterville

This Is The Very Best Hotel That I Have Ever Stayed At In Myrtle Beach SC. I Had A Huge Blast Good Time At My Stay Vacation Here. I Would Definitely Love To Vacation Here Again. I Would Recommend This Hotel To Everyone.

It's been a few years since I stayed here but it was an incredible stay! The staff is kind and friendly, the hotel very clean, and location is incredible! Right on the beach!

This is the fifth time we have stayed at this resort. We stay in one of their efficient units which is very convenient. It is a old resort but well kept and clean. It is right on the beach and close to downtown and many other activities. It has a friendly and helpful staff, heated pools and a lovely lawn area for sunbathing which is the best on the strand.

2nd stay in a few months absolutely love the new renovated rooms! The staff is also amazing they remember you and always have a wonderful conversations with them.

It is a great place to stay. IT has 3 outdoor pools ,2 indoor pools. Ocean front with picnic tables and yellow umbrellas. You can have a picnic or just hang out with friends and relax just looking at the ocean.It has ocean front room or side view rooms. It also has rooms across the street. This is my favorite resort. We keep coming back, because this is a fun place to meet old friends from last year and meet new ones.

My family has been coming to myrtle beach over 35 years and have stayed at Dayton house most of that time. It is a family hotel and always have felt safe there. Great place and great places to eat and things to do.

Is great place to stay for decent prices, especially when ya catch one of their many discount deals throughout the year. They have rooms with kitchens and everything. Highly recommend!

If I need to go to a place that has all the comforts of home, I choose Dayton House. You don't realize how the hotel with the Yellow Umbrellas becomes so important to you until You look at all your past photos and see that all the happy memories have Yellow umbrellas in them😀When I see All those happy photos with family I know Dayton House will always be our home away from home!

This was my second time staying there....i may even come back a third time..everyone there was so friendly..eveything i needed was right there.only 5 minute walk to beach...had 3 different swimming pools to enjoy. Bar and snacks by the pool.as well as different events going on....

What a great get away after the holidays. Walk on the beach, swim in the indoor pool and eat wonderful local cuisine.

I LOVED MY WEEKEND @ DAYTON HOUSE RESORT.. ME & MY HUSBAND HAD THE BEST WEEKEND EVER. WE LOVED THE OCEAN VIEW. WE WALKED ON THE BEACH @ NIGHT. THE PEOPLE WAS VERY NICE. ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN & THE BEDS WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. WE EVEN WALKED UP THE BOARDWALK.. WE NEVER GET A CHANCE TO GET AWAY JUST US TWO. WE LOVED IT SO MUCH THAT WE PLAN ON COMING BACK WITH OUR TWO BOYS. HOPEFULLY WE BE BACK THIS SPRING. IF NOT BEFORE THAT..WE REALLY GOT TO SPEND QUALITY TIME TOGETHER ME & HIM. CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK AGAIN.

We have stayed numerous times at Dayton House. The location is great, close to everything you would want to do. The buildings are older and some rooms need to be updated. While we were there they were updating the South tower. All in all we enjoy the location no matter what time of year we go.

We stayed at the Dayton House on our family vacation and it was a great experience. The staff was willing to help and the room and extra clean. We stay at Myrtle Beach every year but by far this was the best experience. You need a home away from home get away this was the place. The price is reasonable and you can always enjoy that break from work!

For my birthday in August 3rd week, my cousin and I went to Myrtle Beach, we chose the Dayton House Resort. We had a blast ! Ate a lot of good food/seafood. Paula Deen's restaurant was really nice & the food was great. We shopped, sat on the beach, went in the pool/hot tub, we were minutes from the boardwalk, we danced at Pyler Park, we also danced at Broadway at the Beach too. There was so much to do over there as well. Our sneakers lit up, and that was a lot of fun especially at night because so many people had them on children and adults too. A week is not long enough to do everything but we had fun, fun, fun ! Can not wait to return this summer 2018 !!!!

My family and I love the Dayton House. Getting ready to go a fourth time. Directly on the beach and close to everything! Many pools and hot tubs to choose from. They have many activities at the pool during the summer. Room is always clean and staff is great! Prices are always great!

The hotel was clean, the staff was exceptionally nice & helpful. We had an ocean front room. We've been to Myrtle Beach 5 times in the last 15 months. We love it so much we're actually moving from Indiana to Myrtle Beach next weekend. Fun in the sun. Our Paradise!!

The whole staff at the hotel was fantastic. We arrived late in the evening ,tired and miserable, and they made our stay very nice.

Stayed at the Dayton House Resort 3rd week in August ! My cousin Janet and I. We had a blast ! Fun,fun,fun, had the best food at Paula Deen's Restaurant. The weather was great, the beach was so relaxing, listening to the waves, the pools, hot tub, we loved. Did not want to leave. We danced, we shopped, we ate a lot of good seafood too. We were close to everything, the boardwalk, Broadway at the beach, all kinds of shops. It truly takes longer than a week to do everything you want to do. The band Paleo Sun was playing on the boardwalk, they were great ! And the LED sneakers , hilarious. We got those too and what a beautiful sight as it got darker and ever body including the DJ at Broadway had them on too. Everybody dancing to the music. It was just a great vacation !!!

Amazing staff,clean rooms and the grounds are always clean,they have activities by the pool and some amazing food from the outside food bar,always look for the yellow umbrellas and you will find the best place to stay!

We have stayed at the Dayton House this year will be our 6th year. Staying somewhere else never crosses our mind. The hotel is perfect right on the beach nice pool lazy river hot tubs and sauna. Staff makes us feel like family rooms are nice we get ocean front efficiency so the view is awesome Every year gets better can't wait to be there this year in July we stay in July within the same week every year we've been love seeing the same people that work there and meeting new ones LET THE COUNT DOWN BEGIN

We had a wonderful time at this resort and will definitely come back again! Great price, sauna, indoor/outdoor pools, lazy river, ping pong, and very friendly staff! We loved all the yellow umbrella chairs and tables on the lawn. The view from our room was amazing! So glad we stayed here!!

We drove eight hours to get to Myrtle Beach and when we got there it was about 11 o'clock and check it wasn't supposed to be in until 3. We went in to let them know we were there and they said they would get a hold of us is soon as possible but go ahead and take advantage of the resort we ended up getting a call and hour later saying that our room is ready. I have 3 kids aging 16, 12 and 4. The resort accommodated all three of the kids they had a blast. Every day we had lunch underneath the big yellow umbrellas. One of the days we were there they had a drum band come out so while we were in the pool we got to enjoy it's a little bit of entertainment which was totally amazing for our younger kids. The beach in front of the hotel was never crowded. I just can't say enough nice things about the hotel, the staff, the cleansing this of the hotel room. We will forever be a customer!!!!

THE DAYTON HOUSE IS THE NICEST PLACE IN MRYTLE BEACH . A PLACE THAT WE FEEL WHEN WE STAY THERE IS LIKE HOME. THE ROOM IS LARGE, THE KITCHENETTE IS A PLUS FOR US. THE VIEW FROM OUR ROOM IS BREATHTAKING. THE STAFF GOES THE EXTRA MILE TO ACCOMMODATE US. WE HAVE A GREAT SENSE OF SECURITY DURING OUR STAY. WE HAVE CALL DAYTON HOUSE HOME ON THREE OCCASIONS AND HAVE RECOMMENDED IT TO TWO OF OUR FAMILY MEMBERS, WHO WHEN THEY STAYED FOUND THEIR STAY TO BE MOST ENJOYABLE AND LOOK FORWARD TO A RETURN VISIT. I have stay at the Dayton House for several years now, but I have also stayed at other hotels in mrytle beach , and none of them compare to the Dayton House. The people are so friendly who work their, and somehow they remember my name from all the other times , I have stayed there. The rooms are always clean. And if you have a problem, you call them , and they are their the same day to fix your problem. I love the tables outside where you came sit outside and listen to the ocean, and the yellow umbrellas are a big plus.this has to be the cleanest hotel, I have been in.

I liked all the pools. The outside lawn area. I like the rooms because of the kitchens.

We have stayed at Dayton House 3 of the 4 times we visited MB. Due to physical disabilities I cannot walk in the sand, and love to sit under the "yellow umbrellas", near the pool. The pool is a walk-in pool that doesn't get too deep, so I'm able to enjoy walking (for exercise) and resting by the side. Staff is great. Always accommodating. Rooms are clean and just what we need. We love having the fridge (for insulin and food) and make sandwiches for lunch, then go out each night. We love the attractions in the area too.

We stayed there until about 4 yrs ago. We loved it! Love the lawn area. We only stopped because we had people coming with us and a condo was more convenient, also the prices went up quite a lot but I would give it a 5.

Our group has stayed there in September for about 15 years. The staff has always been extremely friendly. We see people from other states that visit the same time every year. Great place for a family vacation.

We have been staying with our son and his family for about five years now. Nice, quiet atmosphere, beautiful pools and outside landscape. We love the nice grassy areas where you can spend your days and nights. The bar area has been remodeled. Our family don't drunk, but the food is really good. Nice place to sat outside and eat. The walk in pool is so nice. We stayed at least twice a year. Love our Dayton House!!!

I love the Dayton House at Myrtle Beach. The staff does an outstanding job of keeping the grounds clean. They have a nice grassy area with tables and umbrellas facing the beach. I have a difficult time walking so staying at the Dayton House is like living on the beach. I can enjoy the ocean without having to walk in the sand to the beach. So glad that we found this place!

The renovated rooms are very comfortable. The ocean front views are wonderful. The pools are beautiful and temperature controlled. The jacuzzi was spacious and being outside was a plus. The lawn area was so beautiful and the swing area along the walkway was a nice place to read or just relax. This place is one of my favorite places at Myrtle Beach!

Our room was supposed to be remodeled but wasn't. We had to lug our bags to the room. The trolley was a disaster this time But all in all it was a great time. We love Myrtle Beach

We miss going to Myrtle Beach & the only reason not going is our U.S. exchange rate.

We love the wade-in pool at this hotel. That feature is very hard to find in other resorts. We have little children, so it works great for them (and for us) since it accommodates any age range including infants. That is probably the highlight here - and it is a big highlight. Downside is that the hotel rooms are a bit hit or miss - they have gone through new renovations which do look and feel much better than before (about 2 years ago) but they are still in process of the full updates (Jan 2018).

We liked the Dayton House but it is a little dated.There room rates are a little high for the shape there rooms are in but there property & pool make up for some of the shape the rooms are in.Very good staff.The one thing I don't understand is the high daily property tax being charged.Being from Canada & our exchange rate difference has made us stay in Canada for vacations.We love Myrtle Beach & have stayed at many different properties up & down the beach.We used to visit every year sometimes twice a year.Im always looking for a deal & looking forward to our next visit.We have done Legends --- Carolina Opery & Alabama Theatre.Love it all🇨🇦🇨🇦👍👍

I have stayed here for years. This resort is right on the beach, so book an oceanfront view. This resort is close enough to the middle of Myrtle Beach that you can walk, but also far enough away from the craziness.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean. Plenty of parking and staff were helpful with questions and any concerns.

FROM THE FIRST TIME I VISITED MYRTLE BEACH IN 2008 TO LAST SUMMER, EACH TIME IS MORE AND MORE ENJOYABLE. WHETHER WE ARE SEARCHING FOR SHARK'S TEETH ON THE BEACH WITH OUR 8 YEAR OLD SON ,STROLLING ON THE NEWLY BUILT BOARDWALK, OR ENJOYING A POOLSIDE SHOW FROM RIPLEY'S, WE ALWAYS CAN TRUST THAT MYRTLE BEACH WAS THE PERFECT DESTINATION FOR A FAMILY VACATION!

Been staying there for years. Have done some updating in recent years. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Grounds are always in excellent condition. Has nice amenities. Pools are always in good condition. Made a number of new friends there over the years. All try to go the same week. Would highly recommend.

Wow what a great place to stay. Right on the water and pools at every building. Water views from everywhere with balconies. Pool bar is great for drinks and food without going inside. Rooms very large and comfortable beds. Nice to have a kitchenette.

We usually try to spend at least the month of January in Myrtle Beach and we have stayed at the Dayton House 4 times. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful, and the watching the sun come up over the ocean starts my day off right! It is close to anywhere you would like to go and the staff will help you book reservations or give you recommendations for dining. I love this place and plan to be back next January and hopefully February.

We stayed here last year during the 19th annual Myrtle Beach Marathon. It was close to the start-finish line and they also had a bus that picked us up.

The room was nice, clean, and comfortable beds. Staff was nice. Nice pool and balcony ocean front.

Our ocean front rooms were great and had kitchenettes and a balcony. We had one room that was ocean view that was dated but served its purpose.

Staff is Friendly. Maid service everyday. Nice Restaurant across the Street. Have added extra attractions to Lazy River. Kids want to stay in there all Day!

We stay at this hotel every year. It is located on ocean front with easy check in. Resturant affliated with hotel gives a 10% discount to all guests. Clean pool and swim area with lunch cabana. Hot tub and a fun lazy river. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Affordable for a family or get away for 2.

I was traveling with my adult son. We had a suite which gave each of us the privacy we needed. We had an ocean front suite and that was great. The staff was wonderful and all our needs with met with care.

My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement at the Dayton House. It was a last minute weekend trip and we enjoyed it.

Lovely stay once again at the Dayton House. We stay in the suites building and the living room is a nice addition. Love the chairs on the grounds for when it is windy. Looking forward to returning again next year.

The room was clean! The room service was good. I liked the location, we were close to everything and could walk. I would ask for a room on a higher floor (we were on the 2nd floor) just to be further away from the pool. I would go again...the price was good for ocean front, the room was perfect for us.

Property very clean

The Dayton House was very clean and spacious for our family of five. We was so excited about all the pools but let down because we they was not convenient in location, too spread out to let my kids go alone. The oceanview was wonderful and we loved the kitchen. Overall awesome time but was told by friend paid too much. This year we must have something about the same but allows my DOG!!

Great resort. Lots of seating in sun and shade. Ocean front. Rates gone up quite a bit in the past couple years. That would be my only complaint. It's getting out of my price range.

Hotel was great - the weather was a little rainy all week- then tropical storm at end of week. Broadway at the beach was great for rainy days but would have loved more beach time

We spent a lot of time in the room account of rain. Not a bad thing. We took advantage of the night life and the great places to eat. Also the local music and bars. One of the best trips we ever had.

We had to change rooms a few times BUT staff helped and was very helpful.

We requested a room that wasn't very high up because I get dizzy going out on balcony. They put us on the 9th floor so I wasn't able to go out and look at the ocean very much. We booked the room at least 6months ahead, other than them putting us on the 9th floor the stay was great. The pools was great. We had access to three different pools, sauna. we have booked a room for august of this year also, and requested again not to be put past the 4th or 5th floor.

The hotel was quiet and clean. Parking was convenient. Room service was adequate, but better depending on the tip.

We gave stayed at Dayton House many times. I like the location but hotel is beginning to show a lot of wear. Water pressure is very low, bathroom looks as if it needed cleaning. Beds were ok but I have had better. Looking for a different place for my next visit.

As always the lawn is the best part of Dayton House. The room is just average, nothing special. But the lawn is great!!

We stayed at The Dayton House quite a few years ago and didn't care too much for it. It just wasn't what we were looking for.

The hotel was NOT as nice as its description online, I was disappointed with the room. However the beachfront location was superb.
