Perfectly situated in the heart of the venerable “Avenues” neighborhood of Myrtle Beach, the Forest Dunes stands proudly with 18 floors of rooms, many with unimpeded oceanfront views of the gentle, rolling dunes, the vast Atlantic Ocean, and all the promises of a great stay ahead.
While still within the City of Myrtle Beach, and close to all the fun and nightlife just minutes away, the Forest Dunes is just far enough north to give guests a more relaxed and stress-free vacation than those staying in the often congested and traffic-snarled downtown district.
With accommodations to fit all needs and budgets, guests are able to choose from among seven styles of rooms; from the one bedroom oceanview, to the deluxe oceanfront three bedroom corner units with floor to ceiling windows offering amazing 180-degree views. Five additional room styles, all with private balconies, ensure the perfect room, at the right price, surpassing guests’ expectations. Full kitchens, flat screen TVs, and all the comforts of home, make the Forest Dunes accommodations unsurpassed.
Once settled you’ll love the Forest Dunes’ on-site whimsical pub and restaurant, Buckets, located on the first floor with indoor/outdoor seating during the busy season, and easy access to the ocean and the pools. Just outside Bucket’s door, a large oceanfront pool, lazy river, whirlpool, and kiddie pool provide hours of fun for the family, as does the four-season indoor pool.
Forest Dunes guests may enjoy mingling with locals along the Seaside Exercise Trail, the only one of its kind on the Grand Strand. A cyclist’s paradise, the Avenues’ neighborhood has wide bike lanes and easy access to the beach. Add in a game room, free WI-FI, summertime activities for the kids, free parking garage, and guests’ coin laundry, the Forest Dunes may just be your new home away from home.

The service has always been friendly & helpful. Rooms are well equipped; the kitchen in our room & the on-site laundry is perfect for our family. The pools are great. The views are INCREDIBLE!! We absolutely love visiting Forest Dunes Resort during early November as there is a relaxing slower pace, it's super quiet, we practically have the beach to ourselves and the weather is still wonderful.
We have been going down for many years and especially enjoy going for a week for the night of a thousand candles. It is just fantastic. Hope we never miss going. We stay at Forrest Dunes and love it Will be down for Feb and part of Mar again.
I have been staying here since the early 90's. Always love it and it is right on the ocean. Beautiful views. Haven't been in over 5 years due health reasons but hopefully will be back real soon! Check it out! You will love it too!
