Visitors who stay on the far north end of Myrtle Beach say it’s their hands-down favorite address on the Grand Strand. Located oceanfront at 77th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, the Grande Shores Ocean Resort is just a short 10-15 minute drive to the lively Myrtle Beach downtown district, but far enough away so that it’s no more than a pleasant, distant view from your oceanfront balcony.
The resort is quite literally less than three minutes from fine dining, a gourmet grocery, a 24-hour diner, the Carolina Opry and Pirates Voyage theaters. The Grande Shores may just have the best address at the Beach. The resort receives rave reviews and returning guests year after year. “This is our go-to hotel when my husband and I want a quiet weekend away at the beach,” said one satisfied reviewer recently.
A seventh-floor pool deck offers stunning ocean views in the kind of luxury found in fine resorts around the world. **Insider’s tip. The ocean view rooms on the North side of the building are completely unimpeded, looking over the Dunes Cove neighborhood and its lovely two-story homes, free of high rises along the beach.
Each room in the modern resort, whether an efficiency with two queen beds, a kitchenette and private balcony, to the deluxe one, two and three-bedroom oceanfront units, come with the following standard amenities: floor-to-ceiling windows, high-speed WI-FI, designer furnishings, cable TV, kitchenettes (or full kitchens in the larger units), and even an iron and ironing board. Here you’ll find all the comforts of home.
Park your car and never leave the Resort if that’s your desire. The onsite Shoreline Café restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and even hosts regular karaoke nights at its bar & lounge.
The real selling point for many Grande Shores guests is the peace and quiet at night. For late-night beach walkers looking for inspiration from the moon rise, or quiet contemplation found at the water’s edge, on an un-crowded beach, look no further; you’ve found your spot.

we had originally planned to go but the hurricane changed our date to October. I was pleased with how the hotel staff contacted me before storm and gave options as to what to do. I was surprised at how everything was clean and repaired as if nothing had happened. the weather was great and warm for this time of year .I love being able to park on same level as room. room was clean, staff was friendly and stayed in contact by text for any need. I really like that. oceanfront view of sunrise, sunsets was spectacular. food was good also. we had a great time.
Great place to visit anytime. Plenty to do and great places to eat.
I have stayed at the Grande Shores several times and every time has been a great experience. I have stayed there with large groups as well as romantic weekend for two and each experience is different. I am giving a 5 star rating for the experience. Too be honest the resort physically is not 5 stars but the front desk, housekeeping and all employees are always helpful and friendly. The grounds are great for hanging out. With all the Myrtle Beach Area has to offer you can do as little or as much as you want while you are there. I recommend to everyone!!!
