Monterey Bay Suites

I just love to stay at Monterey Bay, the staff are always helpful, and they make you comfortable. The Rooms are always clean, and really it's Me and My Husband 's favorite place to go and just get away. I especially like the real high Rooms. Love getting up as high as we can go. Feel close to Heaven up there. I would give them a 5 star and even go higher if I could. Yes I would stay again but they are booked up this time we're going, maybe on our next trip.

We Love is place,, have stayed here for about 10 years. Have never had any trouble. Love the breakfast they serve every morning,,, they come and clean every day or if you don't want them to clean they will just give you clean towels and what ever you need. If you need something fixed they will send up the right person to get ya going again. Love the 3 pools, the 3 hot tubs,,, the lazy river,,,,,, I have nothing bad to say. Can't wait to get back.

We stayed at this location on our last trip to Myrtle beach.The rates were reasonable the room was clean and the motel staff was great. The on site parking was nice and the breakfast was great. The location is great and the corner view was great for both sun rise and sun sets. Will return to this location.

my family and I have stayed at this hotel a total of three times in the last two years.... And was are definitely going to stay again! I love everything that M.B. has to offer weather it be for families or alone or as a couple. This is the only beach we have gone to in 25 years and I am only 29! Thank you to all the residents of Myrtle Beach for making it such a wonderful place to visit!

We love Monterey Bay ,, we stay here every year. They are so friendly,, the rooms are great and they have a free Breakfast for us every morning. We are with in walking distance of places to eat. We are on the beach as we go fishing on the beach also. We love our morning walks on the beach as well as evening too. We have two outdoor pools and an indoor pool,,, 3 hot tubs and a place for the little ones to play. What more could you ask for !!!! If we need tickets to a show they will get us tickets too :) So many things to do and see,,,, This place is wonderful. We love Myrtle Beach, can't wait to come back in October !! See Ya Then :)

we really love myrtle beach . walking on the beach and the lazy river and eating out thats the only time i take a break . we were fighting so hard for custody of our grandson and we brought him with us it was all worth it with the look on his face.

Awesome place to stay. Having a pool on the tenth floor is nice for some quiet time. Breakfast every morning included with stay is great.

We've been coming to Myrtle Beach for many years and never had a bad time. The people are always nice, the food is great, and, even on a rain day, we are still at the beach!

Our favorite place to stay in North Myrtle Beach. The staff is great, the rooms beautiful and the price was the best part. Did I mention the full breakfast and all this right on the beach. Can't wait to go back!

Monterey Bay is by far the best! No matter what you are looking for, you will find it here. Location, full breakfast bar, family friendly, couple friendly, lazy river, hot tubs, 2 amazing pools (one on the roof), abundance of recreational activities, ease of access to the beach, excellent customer service, clean and comfortable rooms, etc., etc., etc. THE BEST BEST BEST!!!! Oh, did I forget.......... the PRICE and the AMAZING SPECIALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having tried numerous hotels up and down the Strand we returned to Monterey Bay and have been staying there for the last 4+ years. LOOK NO FARTHER - They are waiting to SPOIL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We returned to Monterey Bay for the 6th or 7th time the week after Labor Day 2016. Just like the old saying goes, "if it ain't broke don't fix it"! Monterey Bay has always been great with super courteous and helpful staff. The more than adequate free hot breakfast is a plus. We really like the convenience of the attached parking garage where you can park just steps away from your Suite. It is so convienient for unloading and loading. Ocean front balcony with beautiful views and sits in an upscale, less crowded section of Myrtle Beach. Can't hardly wait to get there again soon, as soon as this family's schedule can free us up to get there!

Nothing negative to say about our stay. Hotel workers are very nice (always smiling) and helpful (when I called to make the reservation they explained the damage from hurricane Matthew that just came through, they told us to be careful traveling in since there was still some flooding). Whenever we called for more towels they were brought to us fast. Free breakfast (its delicious). Heated pools which was great because of the time of year. Rooms are always clean.

We have stayed here a few times and never get sick of it ! The cleaniness was always good, the staff was friendly and helpful! Right there at the beach and we were close in any direction of things to do and places to see. We will never get bored in Myrtle beach !

This was our second time staying at the Monterey Bay and they never disappoint! The location is perfect- right on the beach and just a short drive away from all major attractions. We had a corner ocean view room on a higher floor where you can see the beach from multiple angles. The property and the room was completely clean. Our room was spotless when we arrived and the cleaning staff did an amazing job each day. The property of the Monterey bay is wonderful, and we took advantage of it fully. From two pools, to the lazy river, to just laying out on a lawn chair, to heading to the beach it was such a relaxing vacation. The staff is top notch as well, and every interaction we had was pleasant. The staff works very hard to assure that each individual has the vacation of their dreams.

I come every year with my 3 kids. We love this Monterey Bay Suites because it is out of the way right on the beach. The hotel has so much to offer & the staff is amazing. The hotel offers an amazing free buffet breakfast each morning. The pools are clean & has clean towels.

Monterey Bay Suites was absolutely amazing. Our room was very clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean. We had a corner room so you could see the ocean at an angle from the bedroom window. The staff were really wonderful as well. This is a great hotel for families or just couples looking to get away. There were 2 pools and a children's area in the pool, which seemed to be a hit for the kids. There was direct access to the beach right from the hotel and the beach was free. The hotel was only a short drive away from Broadway at the Beach. There was also a full breakfast every morning included with your stay. I would definitely stay here again, and I have no complaints.

This was my first stay at Monteray Bay. I loved having a suite so I could prepare special meals. The check in staff was very pleasant and very helpful. I actually booked two suites as my niece and her family came from Virginia and they loved it also. I loved seeing the sun rise over the beach in the morning. We all enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning. There were so many good things to choose from and it was wonderful to look out on the beach while having breakfast. We all enjoyed the indoor pool and the lazy river. The suites were clean and very roomy. I was also appreciative of the enclosed parking garage. I WILL be staying at Monteray Bay again and very soon. Did I mention they price for the suite was excellent?

I don't like staying on the higher floors because of my fear of heights.. Going around the exit ramps is terrible too.. Other than that the food is delicious and the staff are gracious

Lovely place. Great stay for the buck. I would of gave it a 5 star but dealing with the elevator set up was a little crazy. Had an issue with the safe , maintenance was fast to help. Breakfast was good. Clean and comfortable

This was my very first visit to Myrtle Beach and I plan to return. The resort was beautiful and the city offers so much to do. Being at the beach is just the therapy I need.

I think we have a new holiday tradition! We had a really good time. The rooms are spacious, and had all of the kitchen dishes that I forgot. The breakfast line can be really slow with only one server, so get there early. That's probably the only "negative" I have. We are already planning to return for an upcoming birthday.

we have stayed at monterey bay several times, its nice,quiet, and very clean. beaches not overcrowed we always have a good time. we recomend it four anyone who likes these qualities. we try to come to myrtle beach at least 2 a year, its been three times this year so far.

The hotel was decent. Loved the pool on top of the building and the house cleaners were very kind. Did not like the parking deck...very steep and scary!!! Other than that...great place to stay on a budget!

We loved our visit to Myrtle Beach even thou it was very short, plan on coming back in the spring. The hotel was clean and our room had a wonderful view of the beach. Parking in the hotel garage is terrifying. As you go from one level to the next you must make a very precise turn with only inches to spare. Fortunately, we were driving a compact car. I would not want to attempt using the garage with an SUV or similar size vehicle.

Really enjoyed our stay the breakfast food was good and hot everyday also had a good variety. The staff was very courteous and helpful. One day when we were coming back from a day of sight seeing and tried to use our key card it didn't work, a member of the staff had just came out from next door and opened the door for us and told us to go downstairs and get another. I liked the covered parking inside the hotel except the narrow turns. But all in all we would go back.

Very nice, except there was a bug problem this year. We have stayed 4 times and this was the only time there was any issues. The hotel said it was because the weather was so bad that summer.

We try to come here in the Fall with just our girls as we have an annual extended family beach trip every year also. We love coming to Monterrey bay because its got everything we need! The staff is friendly, the breakfast is delicious and the rooms are clean. Our girls enjoy the pools and we like to relax in the hot tub!

I had a wonderful time at Myrtle Beach!! It was so relaxing to be able to go out on our balcony and see and listen to the ocean. Our room was very clean and quite pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the ladies serving were so friendly without it feeling fake and put on. Just an all around great, great experience!

We enjoyed the hotel, it was right on the beach. The suite had a kitchen and separate bedroom. The free breakfast was great. The location was convenient to the places we like to visit when we're in Myrtle Beach. The only thing I didnt like was the parking garage since I drive a SUV and it was kind of tight getting in and out but by the time we left, we were use to that.

Myrtle Beach is a GREAT place to take the family for the Canadian March Break! There's something to keep everyone from the teenage daughter to the 70 year old mother happy! We've stayed at Monterey Bay Suites at least 4 times and found the price and amenities are fantastic when travelling with a group. Having a full kitchen is a great plus, the ocean front view can't be beat and the breakfast staff is always wonderful ... always a great time.

Monterey Bay is right on the beach and within a short drive of anything you would want or need. I got fresh towels daily and the trash emptied but my floors were never cleaned for the 6 days I was there and the breakfast, while hot, was not very appealing. I ate there 3 days then chose to go out for breakfast for the rest of my stay. The employees are all friendly and very helpful. This was my 2nd visit in 14 years to this hotel and I probably would not stay there again.

My husband and I had selected Monterey mostly based on cost. We have stayed at a slightly higher priced hotel previously. I would say you get what you pay for. Our room was clean but needed updating. Breakfast was typical inexpensive continental breakfast (free so no complaints). Overall definately on the lower end of our personal preference but we expected that.

although parking deck takes some getting used to, the rooms and location just can't be beat! stayed here for the last 5 years and can't seem to find anything equivalent.

We enjoyed our stay as usual. We usually stay twice a year. We love being able to park right at your room door on some floors. Great staff! Delicious breakfast daily! Affordable prices. This is our home away from home.

We always stay st Monterey Bay! I think this was our 6 or 7th stay at this hotel. Always have been satisfied there. Really no need to stay anywhere else. No need to fix it if it ain't broke!

hotel was nice enough, did not like breakfast, always went out, we like to eat on china, not plastic or Styrofoam, beach front was great, pool was great, nice to have indoor if needed and always enjoy hot tub, will stay at another hotel next time closer to piers, we like dinner in the evening at the piers, food great!

There were definitely positives and negatives about our vacation. Unfortunately, the first impression was negative. We were driving through bad storms on our way to the hotel and our normally 7.5 hour drive was looking to be closer to 10-12 hours. We called the hotel to let them know we were still coming and wanted our reservation saved, which they assured us was fine. When we finally arrived at the property at 11:30pm, the front desk lady couldn't find our reservation and did not have the same room type available. After checking with other nearby properties who also did not have any availability with our desired room type, we decided we would just take a different room at Monterey Bay. This meant that for the duration of our vacation, my husband and I would not be able to sleep in the same bed. :( Boo. Apparently, the hotel sends out two separate "confirmations" and if you do not receive the second one then your room is not "confirmed." I did find this in their fine print, but come on-- confirmed should mean confirmed, especially if the money is in the bank account (and it was). Thinking that the money had drafted for our reservation, we checked our statement and noticed that the amount that had been drafted was actually another draft of approximately the same amount. Even with that amount gone, there was still plenty for the reservation to go through, so we still don't know why the reservation was not confirmed the second time. When we booked our vacation we were in the midst of a very busy and incredibly stressful time, so when the money came out and we got the email confirmation we just didn't think anything else about it. I never noticed I didn't receive a second confirmation, which I admit is my fault, but at the same time I have never dealt with a hotel that sends more than one confirmation and confirmation number. It's confusing and unnecessary; they could just wait until the reservation is approved to send the confirmation like other hotels. Ultimately the front desk lady (who wasn't very friendly or apologetic) gave us a small discount for the trouble--if I remember correctly it was less than $50-- and we took a room. The room was very cramped, but in decent condition. The 10th floor pool was nice, but small and the ground floor pool was half inside/half outside. The place where the outside part closes off for winter has a big metal guide that hurts if you accidentally step on it or brush against it. The play equipment was nice, but so close to the concrete pool patio that it wasn't very safe. The parking garage is very tight, but doable. It's super inconvenient to get down to the beach with your supplies, though. Breakfast and the workers who served it were wonderful. Friendly, helpful, and smiling. This was definitely the main strength of this property. Overall, our vacation was ok, but I much prefer Captain's Quarters (where we've stayed several times) over Monterey Bay Suites. My husband wants to try somewhere else this year, but I'm nervous about another "just ok" vacation.

The accommodations were right for the price. Exterior hallways not the greatest during freezing weather but otherwise it was a good stay. Rooms were relatively clean and the included breakfast was great each morning.

Nice sized room. Great breakfast every day! Room looked run down & in need of updating. Tiles in bathroom really rough. Had to really make sure your room door was shut. If you didn't give it an extra hard pull or push it wouldn't close the whole way and door could be pushed open. The woman cleaning our room - Connie - was awesome!

When we first arrived we where not given the room reserved and it smelled horrible, like dampness. We where given a Ocean Front room and it was very cramped. We traveled with 3 kids 10 months 6 and 12. We where on top of each other bumping into stuff constantly. We where right outside the elevator and it was so noisey 24/7 my kids where constantly waking up. The parking garage was so small and was very jar to get in and out. The pool was just a basic pool and not much to do with kids there. On a positive note the staff was nice and breakfast buffet was good. Unfortunately for the price we where not happy. We will not be staying there again.

The hotel staff where very friendly. The rooms smelled very musty and where a little out dated. We where in a room right outside the elevator and was very loud all hours of night and day. The people in room beside us where always blaring music and slamming there balcony door and we couldn't so outside on our balcony because they where so loud an smoking! We complained an the front desk told us they would talk to them and nothing changed. The room was very small and the four of us where constantly on top of each other. The breakfast and room service where good. Would look for something a little nicer and bigger next time.

The hotel room was nice. Air conditioning blew nlavk specks on the bed. Breakfast buffet was good. Lots of choices. Pool area was crouded with kids, so not enjoyable.
