We are from texas and come to myrtle beach every year. My favorite place to be.

We had an amazing stay at the Ocean Dunes Motel. The staff was so nice and polite. The room was very clean with great views. Highly recommended

Everything was great from check in and to check out. We had access to a nail spa the rooms where clean and the ocean view was excellent

Stayed at the dunes May this year. If was wonderful , clean, spacious and polite staff. A short walk to the beautiful beach. Would definitely go back also would recommend it.

My favorite place to stay! That and the Sand Dunes next door. Hope to get there this summer or early fall.

This is the only place we stay as of the last 6 years. It is our home away from home. Even at the restaurant they remembered us after skipping a summer. You're close to everything but also in your own world . We love the lodge villas and towers . We went through a lot of places before we landed at the best. .

so far the ocean dunes has been my favorite. Pizza place, convenient store and water park right beside it. Sands resorts gives u a free cruise at little river. Pretty cool. Morning trip is the best for seeing wild life. U get free tickets to wild water and wheels water park and free tickets to an amusement park at NMB. And if u book ur summer trip by 3/31/14 the rates r awesome. And some other stuff too

My husband and I stayed at the Sands or Ocean dunes every year during Bike week, and I would rate our stays a 5. The suites are roomy and include kitchen facilities. Also, the water park is only a few years old, and quite newer than the hotel. The great thing about the Sands beach resorts is that you may enjoy the amenities of any of them regardless of which one you booked your stay with. Great place to stay and take your family. As for the complaint about lack of washer/dryers in the unit, I for one wouldn't miss them because I do not do laundry on vacation!

Amazing!! Took a family weekend get away to myrtle beach. The kids loved it, the adults loved it. Our hotel offered many different discounts and offers. We were just steps from the beach. The rooms were clean and a very good size. I can not rave enough about the experience we had.!!

We have been staying here for the last 20 years. First just a standard room, then moved to the 2 bedroom suites and after the expansion of our family to the 3 bedroom town houses. We miss having the kids club as my 2 oldest grand kids loved the place and grew up there. Due to losing my job we have not visited in 2 summers :(. We all miss the beach and family time so much as this is our only family vacation that we all took as a family. Great place, lots of changes in the last 20 years.

Nice rooms, friendly staff. Loved walking up, walking out on the balcony and seeing the beautiful ocean & sunny skies. Was nice to have access to sister hotels as well.

The condo we stayed in was nice. We had plenty of towels, the kitchenette was stocked with what we needed to prepare meals. We were no more than 5 minutes from the beach. We had pool access on the property. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We booked Myrtle Beach so we could play golf every day , we purchased a snowbird passport and used it at every course we played. Living in Canada it was an early start to our spring . The folks we meet was amazing ! We are going back in the fall. Thank you Myrtle Beach. Gary , Mike , Sandor and Jan !!!

Had a wonderful time in Myrtle Beach this year. Love the Pavillion and Broadway at the Beach. Kids really enjoyed lazer tag and minigolf. The beach wasn't overcrowded to be in mid summer, and the kids couldn't get enough of the lazy river and both indoor and outdoor pools. My husband and I relaxed in the hot tub and still could watch the kids play in the pool. This hotel was clean and convenient to Walmart and a lot of other amenities such as bass pro and the mall.

Our experience was wonderful. It was affordable and a great place to stay for a family!

We have stayed at the Ocean Dunes at least five times. We stayed in a Tower II Suite and absolutely loved it. It was ocean view, large, clean and just a short walk to the beach. Best of all, it's reasonably priced. Ocean Dunes is the only place we stay at Myrtle Beach. I give Ocean Dunes a four - not luxurious, but we had no complaints.

Our son was turning six yeats old and picked going to Myrtel Beach as his birthday trip. We were very close to the beach and had a great view. We were close to great places to eat and the staff was wondetful. The only bad thing was we had to leave after our weeks vacation. The stay was very well priced and would love to go again!!

We stay in the Ocean Dunes tower right next to Sand Dunes every year. Its a great deal, the price cant be beat. The staff isnt that great, but Ive always managed to get anything Ive wanted taken care of while staying there. I prefer this end, away from all the crowds and noise. Much more relaxing.

Loved everything about this place

I love staying at Ocean Dunes. I like how it is connected with Sand Dunes so we get to experience all that both hotels have to offer. We stayed in one of the tower suites. We stayed up high so we still had a good view of the ocean. We have stayed on a lower floor in the past and we couldn't see the ocean because of trees and buildings. We always make use of all the pools and the water park. The lazy river in the water park is excellent. We also love all the amenities that are included with your stay. We were able to go to Wild Water and Wheels and Nostalgic Pavilion Amusement Park for free. The amusement park wasn't great, but it was free. I took advantage of the free bike rental this year and I really enjoyed that. The only negative things I would say about Ocean Dunes is it is getting slightly run down as it gets older. We saw several bugs. We had problems with the elevator and we even got stuck in it. I would still recommend this hotel, though. It is affordable and great for kids.

Property is great. I've stayed in the same hotel annually since 1980. Lots to do there and great location for both the beach and places to eat.

We usually stay at the Ocean Dunes due to its competitive pricing, quiet location, and amenities. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the room left something to be desired however. The bed sheets had not been changed from the previous guest and I had to call and request house keeping to fix this. I always check the beds as soon as I check in and the sheets and pillow cases were covered in black hair. Our room was not cleaned each day of our stay, which was not a problem, but getting enough clean towels was. The hotel is located in a quieter stretch of myrtle beach but is still convenient to shopping and dining.

great pools for kids but rooms not very clean & building not well maintained.

We really enjoyed our stay . We had kids so the on site water park area was a huge perk !

Really disappointed with this hotel. Our room was pitiful. Cracked lampshade, rust on floors, and curtains that did not eve fit the windows. We asked for extra pillows the first night and were told we would receive them. Never got any pillows. The next afternoon we came back to get cleaned up. When we got back the room had been cleaned but no clean towels were brought. I called down to ask for some towels and also asked for pillows again. This time I was assured they would be right up. An hour later the towels arrived. When I asked the lady about pillows she replied "ain't nobody told me nothing bout no pillows. You have to call again. " when I called AGAIN I was told "oh sorry we're all out". The staff at this hotel was completely helpless to us. When we had to get our passes to go the sands resort to use the pool there, the front desk person told me I could jus walk over there. When I arrived I was informed that the whole family had to come. When I brought the family, I was told we had to have some piece of paper from the front desk. It was absolutely ridiculous. I will NEVER stay at this hotel or any other hotels associated with Sands. I suggest the Prince Resort for anyone looking. We always stayed there in the past and never had an issue.
