The Cherry Grove neighborhood of North Myrtle beach is home to the Prince Resort. Modern, clean, and spacious, the resort is located at the iconic Cherry Grove Pier, making it a popular destination for those who want a resort loaded with amenities in an old beach town setting; the best of all worlds.
With the dramatic infrastructure and road improvements in and around the North Myrtle Beach region over last several years, Cherry Grove is no longer at “the far north end of the beach.” It’s easier than ever to hop on and off highways that deliver you anywhere on the Grand Strand in minutes. Just a short drive south on U.S. 17, Barefoot Landing with the Alabama Theatre, and the House of Blues, awaits, along with fine-dining options, fun chains, and great shopping.
Deluxe oceanfront rooms, a second tower across the street with marsh and coastal views (and budget-friendly options), multiple restaurants, and more, help make the Prince Resort the King of the North Strand.
Offering a wide variety of room types, the Prince doesn’t skimp on in-room amenities. All the rooms, even the coastal-view studios, come with full kitchens, washer and dryer, multiple TVs, private balcony, and can sleep up to four.
The deluxe three-bedroom oceanfront rooms feature all the creature comforts of home, plus the ability to sleep up to 10 guests with plenty of room and three bathrooms to share.
The resort highlights include the 3500 Grill, serving breakfast and dinner, affordably, plus multiple pools, fitness center, mushroom waterfall kiddie pool, lazy river, and the Cherry Grove fishing pier.
Worth checking out, the Prince Resort at the Cherry Grove Pier is truly Grand Strand royalty.
In addition to its premier location at the Cherry Grove Pier, Prince Resort offers an array of amenities, including an oceanfront swimming pool, a rooftop pool and lazy river, kiddie pool with mushroom waterfall, fitness rooms and two hot tubs.

Love the resort! The location, pier, beach & food. Fantastic time at the Prince!
My family and I have stayed at the Prince Resort several times. We love being right on the ocean. The view is amazing. My kids love the pool.
Wonderful hotel enjoyed my stay dinner on site everything was delicious gorgeous view.
The hotel itself is beautiful and spacious. It's very clean, and located in a quiet place. The staff there though! That's where it's at! They are always smiling, helpful, and willing to work with you. We have stayed there 4 times and the only reason we don't is they are booked up.
WILMINGTON I always stay at the Prince Resort whenever I come to Myrtle Beach. The rooms are nice and you can get real comfortable in the bed. The staff is also very courteous, and will solve any issues you have quickly.
I stayed here the year of Matthew. It was the cleanest well run hotel that i have ever stayed at! The desk called every day to make sure that we had supplies and if it was the day that the room got cleaned, to check on that as well! We stayed across the street and the view was amazing! I It was so comfortable I just wish I had spent more time around the resort and seeing what was around for shops and restaurants. I will the next time. I loved that there were not the crowds that are in South Myrtle, I’m not a fan of crowds and this trip was just perfect!
Great place for families!Henderson
WEST MONROE I could not have been more pleased with the condo we stayed at. Directly beach front. Two bedrooms and two huge bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Whether sitting on the beach and taking in the ocean sights and sounds or on the balcony watching the action. The fishing pier and the restaurants right there were so good. We will be back!
We love staying at The Prince. It is right on the pier and we love to walk the pier and talk to the fishermen. The views are fantastic and our condo had a bedroom that overlooks the ocean. We always choose to stay at the Prince. It is great value
My stay at the Prince was wonderful, service was great, room clean. I only wish I could afford to stay there more often.
Great place to stay, everything you can possibly need right next door, and the view of the ocean!@
Very nice and lots of room, staff was very pleasant and the view was just gorgeous
This resort would be my absolute 1st place to stay. Very nice and lots of room, staff was very pleasant and the view was just gorgeous
WE STAYED AT THE PRINCE AFTER WE GOT MARRIED. WE HAD SUCH AN AMAZING TIME. THE LOCATION IS GREAT. YOU CAN WALK EVERYWHERE AND IT ISN'T TOO CROWDED. THE STAFF IS AMAZING. ROOMS WERE AWESOME AND VERY CLEAN. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WE PICKED THERE TO STAY.
I love North Myrtle Beach, less crowds.Prince resort has large spacious rooms , great views and Love the pier.Great fireworks over the 4th
My sisters and I just stayed at the Prince Resort this pass May 2018 across the street from the ocean the view was breath taking ,it was quiet, peaceful ,and we all got rest that week. The pool on top of the 9th floor was so beautiful to watch the rainbow when the little shower came bye us, plus the rainbow had a circle around the sun hiding behind a cloud it was picture taking time for sure that day. Thank you Kathy Lucas NC girl
My husband and I have been married for 24 yrs and we have 3 wonderful sons aged 22, 19 and 18. Our whole marriage we have talked about taking our 1st family vacation. In March 2017 we finally got to take that trip! I searched for months online for the perfect condo and found Prince Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. As soon as we got to Prince Resort we knew that we were gonna love it! We were greeted with a smile and our condo was everything we could ask for and more! The condo was beautiful, the ocean was incredible and being able to borrow a movie from the kiosk in the lobby was an awesome added perk. We asked to be put on the highest floor possible and we were awarded with the 18th floor. From our balcony you could see the ocean as it went on forever and every morning my husband and I would watch the sunrise from our king size bed. It was wonderful!
Had the best time with my daughter and grandchildren, Myrtle was so fun an exciting, the people were great ,I can't wait to come back
Staying at the Prince is a breathtaking experience. The view is fantastic and the amenities abundant- pools, jacuzzis, lazy rivers, fishing facilities from your pier, restaurants right where you stay. The rooms are spacious with all the necessities of life. The locations is not in the middle of the hecticness of a resort town but close enough to get to the endless activities and entertainments one could want. Love this place.
Outstanding and can not wait to return much needed time away
Outstanding Resort
It was our stay at the Prince Resort that provided every amenity and spacious condo that was beautiful and comfortable. From the beach, pools, and pier to movies and dining, our extended family was refreshed and thoroughly entertained. Can't wait for our next visit!
The Prince Resort is the best hotel to stay at in Cherry Grove or Myrtle Beach. It is clean, has great views from floor to ceiling windows, and is oceanfront. The Cherry Grove pier is right in front of the hotel for great fishing. They also have a grill on the pier where you can get sandwiches, a cold beverage, etc. I have always received excellent service from the staff at the Prince Resort. They are always friendly and helpful. I stay here every chance I get.
Spent 5 days here through Christmas. Friendly, caring staff. Beautiful decorations. Great location and views!
we so loved staying at the Prince Resort... we loved our room and the view was fabulous... Staff was super friendly! we are hoping this is our forever spring break home :)
We always stay at Prince Resort love easy check in staff friendly rooms and lobby clean
Relaxing, Entertaining, Special, Tantalizing, Fulfilling, Unbelievable, Lasting (RESTFUL)
Abingdon The first time we chose to stay at the Prince was because it was so close to North Carolina & we had activities planned in that area. The next time was just because we loved the resort. Even though we were across the street at the Prince II, it was still like being ocean front without the added cost & we also had spectacular views of the marsh. The rooms were clean & comfortable & the pool area was relaxing. The Cherry Grove area is very nice & a nice change to switch up our Myrtle Beach vacation by staying in a different section.

Prince Resort in North Myrtle Beach is a Great Place to stay with Heavenly Beach Views. I will Definitely be staying at Prince again when I return to Myrtle Beach and I highly recommend Prince to anyone that wants to Visit Myrtle Beach. Thank you Prince Resort for helping me and my family to have a Great time at the Beach! :)
The title says it all. Beauty Cherry Grove Beach. Family oriented pool and the pier offering great fishing. Close to all attractions with excellent restaurants close by. What's not to love about this world class resort where all rooms are ocean front.
We love Myrtle Beach and any excuse is a good excuse.
The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very attentive. I love all of the amenities, especially the roof top pool. We have a beautifully furnished room with amazing views. If you like north mrytle I would definitely recommend the prince resorts
Lots of great activities with a pleasant staff as well.
A very clean and niceplace
Prince is a great place to stay. Staff is wonderful, rooms are clean with all amenities. They provide parking, pools, hot tubs and lazy river.
1st time staying there and have always been ocean front but we were in the tower across the street and it was still wonderful!!! Nothing was blocking our view it was the same as ocean front!!' Also we were in parking garage which was another asset always near an elevator. I had my elderly mother so she didn't have to walk that far to the car. Will definitely want to stay in the same building again and was also spacious and very clean!! Want to be there right now even if it is February!!
The hotel accommodations was excellent, the three bedroom was large enough for the entire family. Our room overlooked the pier.
Very nice hotel, always clean and love the views. Great amenities. Staff was always friendly. I haven't stayed anywhere else since first staying there in 2010. My favorite place!
Our experience was Great and wonderful The Hotel was so nice and clean and easy to access the beach and other resturants
Really enjoyed our stay last year. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Restaurant on site was good. Enjoyed having the peer right there.
I love the Prince Resort. Cherry Grove is such a peaceful setting, but still part of Myrtle Beach. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. We always stay at least five nights and we are never ready to leave. Our first stop is always lunch at the restaurant on the pier. We love The Prince Resort. All of that being said, our nieces would be much more willing to stay with us if there was an indoor pool. One area for improvement, not bad! I still choose the Prince Resort every time!
We stayed in 2013.... It was a truly wonderful experience!!! I rate it 5!!! If the scale went to 100 it would get it from me!! Very family oriented, clean, and the staff was great!!! We are planning a visit this year as well!!! #1 Prince resort fan!!!
Me and the family stayed the're last year for the weekend for my birthday.had a wonderful time.the rooms are beautiful.we all had a great time and cannot wait to go back.rooms are very clean and rooms have everything you need in them
We will be staying for our 3 rd visit here in June . The hotel is clean, and the kids love the lazy river and pools. There are gift shops, a grocery store, and food places within walking distance. We got a great deal this visit. 30% off for returning customers. Can't wait to put my feet in the sand!
My wife and I stay there at least once a year. It is a beautiful place with beautiful rooms and the best views anywhere. You decide how much you want to spend depending on the number of bedrooms you want but all the rooms are awesome. It is also so convenient to any kind of shopping and a fantastic grocery store, fishing also and a walk on the pier, pools... just about heaven. I can not bring myself to give The Prince a 5... it's a ten in my book!!! Thank you for being there!!
Stayed there last year and it was one of the best vacations my family ever had.
Really enjoyed our stay last year. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Restaurant on site was good. Enjoyed having the peer right there.
we stay there every year we really like it very clean and quiet. Keep up the good work.
Stayed here a couple of years ago and it was incredible! The pools were nice and clean! Love having the pier right there within walking distance, was perfect especially at night ! The condo was so spacious and clean! I like the fact it was an actual condo and not 2 hotel rooms with a corridor! It was very up to date! Will stay there again for sure! Also the washer and dryer in the room was such a great amenity! The bathrooms, yes 2 were so huge! I could go on and on!
Love! Clean, nice rooms with washer/dryer which is a must with young children. Best part is its a quiet part of the beach!
We loved it!! We have been there for the 4th of July and love the fireworks display off the pier...will be there this year too! Lots of pools for our grandchildren and the beach is great!!
This is an excellent golf area and the prince resort offers some excellent golf packages.
Fort Mill Good Facility in good location. Has it's own pier for fishing or just enjoying a walk.
Ideal location! Easy access to the pier. Quieter location but within minutes to action ... restaurants, bars, shops, beach, shows, shopping. Incredible views from the suite of both the ocean and the inlet. Parking on-sight. The suite was the perfect size for two people and having access to everything we needed and more was ideal. I would absolutely stay again ... and again! !
very nice and clean room bars and resturants on site great time
We love Prince Resort. The location is perfect for families. Even when you stay in the second tower it is like you are staying ocean front.
Prince Resort was great. I love Cherry Grove Fishing pier. Southern charm and hospitality. Will definitely be returning to the Grand Strand soon.
This Resort was the cleanest and most well run place I have stayed in Myrtle Beach! The staff called daily to see if I received supplies and if the room had been cleaned. The condo had a dishwasher, washer, dryer and kitchen. It had one big bedroom and a pull out couch that a guest slept on and found very uncomfortable. It was one night so not a big deal. It is across the street from the beach with a great view! It has a restaurant in the first building that is on the beach, a bit of a hassle when checking in a bit of a walk and the elevator to the rooms is in an underground parkade. The beach was quiet in September when in South Myrtle Beach at this time is packed and very uncomfortable when travelling alone, This Resort gives a different feeling all together. I really enjoyed my stay just too short a storm put an end to it quickly.... the only downside is that it is so far from the airport and very pricey taking a cab to this destination, but I’m sure I will go back I didn’t get to do everything I wanted to in the short time I was there... overall very satisfied!
Loved every moment of it. Resort was close to ocean which allowed my mother with oxygen to enjoy the beach which she missed dearly. Quality family fun with lots of relaxation.
Stayed at this resort three times last being in October 2017. Had a two bedroom condo clean and comfortable with great view of ocean. Restaurant downstairs very nice with great staff especially Jess. Will stay again on our next visit.
Good location with lots of beach activity to participate in or just sit, relax and watch the surf
This resort is one of our favorite places to stay in Myrtle Beach!
We have stayed at a variety of places. We love the condos in North Myrtle. The varandas did not disappoint. Great views, and close proximity to great food and attractions. The condo was comfortable and clean. Great memories made.
After moving back to NC after living in Texas for 15 yrs we were so excited about our first trip back to the beach. We enjoyed our stay but parking accommodations were not all that great. Not enough handicap parking.
have stayed their 3 times and love it. stay in the tower across the street and it is just as good as ocean front. wish the pools in that tower were warmer. also wish it was completely smoke free (room balconies and pool decks).
Loved it. Just wish the pier was included in your room price. We Will stay there again. Hopefully soon
Love this place! Have stayed twice already. Actually staying there this weekend! I give it a 4 bc it is a little expensive but well worth it.
very clean a little pricey but I would still rate it a 4
Enjoyed very much
Love staying here!!! Super clean & nice facilities. Only drawback is no indoor pools...that would make it a 5 for sure!
I was really excited to try this place. We wnt the year they opened. I was very disappointed, and will never go back there. The rooms were small, staples stuck up through their carpets, there was no room on the balcony to sit, the chairs took up the space. We were moved once after we unpacked, and had problems with the second room too. The best thing about this resort was the fishing pier.
We live myrtle beach and are very familiar with the area. The beaches are clean and the people are friendly. We will however be looking for accommodations elsewhere next year. The Prince Resort has "gone down hill" the last few times that we have stayed and the last time was the worst.
I have stayed at the Prince Resort so many times I cannot count, 3 of which were in the last 6 months. I use it for girls getaways and family trips. Our last stay was over Mother's Day weekend. Everything was great, and we checked out on the 12th. Yesterday, June 19th, I received my credit card statement and found a charge for $56.50. I called to inquire about the charge and was told that housekeeping had found the coffee pot shattered all over the floor when they went in to clean. We DID NOT even use the coffee pot while we were there. I tried to explain this to Daniel the night manager, who was at least apologetic, then to Zack the front office manager, who was nothing but rude, and was told they would not reverse the charges per their general manager. I was also very upset that they did not contact me before charging the account. Daniel said that they normally do, and he couldn’t explain why Zack did not call before authorizing the charge. That alone made the situation seem shady. They said that they had never had any trouble out of the housekeeper so they believed her....never mind the fact that they have never had any trouble out of me either and I PAY ALOT of money to stay there. I am a former teacher and currently a nurse....both professions that require some level of integrity. If I would have broken the pot I would have called down and told them I broke it. I surely wouldn't have left shattered glass all over the floor with my children running around. If someone was trying to hide the broken pot, wouldn’t they have cleaned it up? Accusing me makes no logical sense. I asked him if he was willing to lose all of my future business over a $56 coffee pot (that we all know they probably paid less than $20 for) and his response was yes. My husband called and spoke with the general manager, Stephanie Chestnut, on Friday the 21st explaining the situation and asking them to refund the $56 in the name of customer service. She said she would call him back shortly with her decision. It is now Sunday afternoon and after leaving her messages she still has not returned his call. The worst part is I have booked to go down there this week and per their refund policy I cannot get my money back to spend elsewhere, so I guess I will use that time to warn all the guests I come in contact with to be present when the room inspection is done. After reading the reviews, I have seen that this has happened to other guests before me, and that housekeeping and customer service are both weaknesses at the Prince. I am sorry to say I had to experience issues with both. I cannot believe that the manager I spoke with has ever had any training in hospitality. We thought we had found the spot where we wanted to spend every summer, and now we will be searching for a new destination for next summer. Based on how little they value repeat business, I will NEVER stay here again!
