Two different dining experiences were available in this Market Common fine-dining establishment. A unique Tapas (small plates) menu was available in the bar area, while in the main dining area a classic steakhouse menu was served in addition to several house specialties.
The list of Tapas is lengthy and diverse, offering everything from Truffle Popcorn to Crab and Lobster Cakes and Beef Carpaccio. With smaller portion sizes, these dishes are meant to be ordered by the handful and shared with the whole table. Highlights include the Pork Belly, which is slow-roasted, seared and topped with homemade barbecue sauce and plantain slaw. The Spanish Caprese Salad, with grilled queso fresco, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and tomatillo salsa, is a lighter, fresh option, and the Veal and Truffle Ravioli, with braised veal shank, housemade pasta, wild mushroom sauce, and truffle butter is a rich and savory dish that you actually might want to keep to yourself. The Steaks and Chops menu is full of premium proteins like a Prime Barrel Cut 8oz Filet, Prime Thick Cut Colorado Lamp Chops, and a Bone-In Veal Porterhouse. And each meat is available with one of four sauces – Veal Demi-glace, Bearnaise, Wild Mushroom, or Madeira and Truffle. Their Signature Entrees include Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Poulet Rouge (confit leg and roasted breast of chicken with mashed potatoes and a wild mushroom Demi-glace), and Lemon Sole Provencal (sautéed in a beurre blanc with capers, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, garlic, and parsley over a fried polenta cake).
There’s no debating the fact that this place is pretty swanky and more cosmopolitan than the other eateries at The Market Common. White cloths cover the tables, glistening chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and racks of fine wines adorn a couple of the walls.
