This local chain has been successful in its 15 years of operation, expanding from its original location in Cherry Grove (on Duffy Street, of course) and growing into North Myrtle Beach and Restaurant Row. The recipe has been pretty simple – fresh seafood, cold beer and a come-as-you-are attitude. Their motto, “Lowcountry and Laid-back” says it all.
They might not sound appealing, but the “Sea Buckets” are the main attraction at Duffy Street. Featuring build-your-own steam kettles of shrimp, oysters, clams and crab legs along with corn on the cob, smoked sausage and red potatoes, Duffy Street blends it in a mix of Old Bay seasoning and beer and lets you dig in. Other seafood specialties include the Shrimp and Grits, Crab Cakes and Calamari. But Duffy Street also knows”landfood,” serving grilled steaks, chicken, ribs and barbecue pork. A wide selection of appetizers and a full bar make Duffy Street a great place for a snack and a drink.
Duffy Street is fun and festive, with the bar floor covered in peanut shells and no one minding if you eat with your fingers. The décor is seaside seafood shack, especially the original location in Cherry Grove. The Restaurant Row and North Myrtle Beach locations are a bit newer and nicer, but all three are fun and unassuming.
