Located on the property where Chesterfield Inn stood for decades, Hammerhead Grill is a family-owned and operated oceanfront restaurant.
The menu is small, but each dish is well-planned. Starters included fried pickles, fried mushrooms, fries, and wings. Their Skippers Pick Salad can be topped with grilled chicken or shrimp, and the five entrée offerings include fish, shrimp, beef, and Big Boy’s Grilled Chicken Club, which is a marinated breast with bacon, guacamole, Swiss, garlic red pepper aioli, lettuce, and tomato on Texas toast.
The hardwood floors from Chesterfield Inn have been transformed into tabletops, giving the restaurant a classic vibe. During the summer they have live music (oldies, classic rock country, shag) every night of the week, and in the fall and spring months they keep it on weekends only.
