With a huge menu and an airy atmosphere, you could make a day out of hanging out at this Boardwalk restaurant if you’re not careful. The outdoor patio and doorless dining room (weather permitting) make it a great spot to people watch, too.
The fare here fits nicely into what could be described as Boardwalk Food – burgers, fried seafood, steamed shellfish, wings, and sandwiches. The difference here is that there are several creative additions to keep the crowd on their toes.
The Appetizer list has all of the usual suspects (nachos, fried pickles, onion rings) along with Conch Fritters, Corn on the Cob, and Shrimp & Crab Spring Rolls. In addition to Cheeseburgers and Po’ Boys, the Burgers/Dogs/Sandwiches selection also includes a Fried Bologna Sandwich and the Flounder “Meme” Sandwich, which is topped with shrimp & crab dip, lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce.
Seafood options include Shrimp Baskets and Seafood Platters and everything in between, as well as steamed Mussels, Clams, Oysters, and Snow Crab. Highlights from the Chicken section are the Caribbean Jerk Sandwich and the Deep-Fried Wings, available in mild, medium, hot, 3-alarm, teriyaki, sweet chili, and BBQ.
On nice days, the garage doors open up to let in the sunshine and sea breeze, which are perfect complements to Boardwalk Food. The dining room is no-frills, with wooden floors and tables, and there’s plenty of seating available outside, just in case you can’t resist soaking up some rays while you eat and drink.
