Salt Water Creek has one of the most diverse menus in town and manages to do all of it well. Lunch features excellent burgers, sandwiches, paninis, salads, wraps, and the famous fish tacos. A long line of creative pizzas, like the Mason Dixon with homemade pimento cheese, bacon and tomatoes, are popular day and night. Dinner takes it to the next level, with wide selections in all three categories: “Land” features everything from Fried Pork Chops to Filet Mignon; “Sea” goes deep with shrimp, oyster and flounder combinations and Lump Meat Crab Cakes that are more crab than cake; and “Air” offers Sweet Thai Fried Chicken and Crispy Duck. Nightly specials include half-price sushi on Mondays and Lobster Sundays.
Salt Water Café bills itself as “upscale casual,” which is Murrells Inlet’s laid-back way of saying “Come as you are for some for some top-shelf cuisine.” Happy hour and half-price sushi nights attract a fun crowd, but it’s a nice place for a family dinner or a romantic meal.
