Occupying a spot that's been a staple of the North Myrtle Beach landscape for more than 75 years — housing clubs such as Pour House, The Cavalier Club and The Back Alley Lounge — Pirate's Cove Lounge opened in 1995 and has been making noise ever since.
These days, Pirate's Cove is known as one of the area's top live music venues, with two stages and two floors full of dancing, bands, drinks and fun.
Though it's known by many visitors as a hopping spot for nightlife in North Myrtle Beach, Pirate's Cove also serves a full menu of food, staying open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snacks.
The friendly staff of locals offers lunch specials every day and there's always something new to try whether it's a fresh-cut salad, scrumptious sandwich or a hearty bowl of soup to fill you up.
For dinner, you can choose from a selection of local favorites including bountiful burgers and freshly-caught seafood to downhome Carolina cuisine and delicious dessert dishes.
You can also grab a tasty breakfast sandwich or any of a variety of appetizers — inlcuding “World Famous” wings — any time of day.
If you're entering from the street, a long hallway entrance will lead you straight to the main music area, where you'll see a large stage and a huge dancefloor that gives way to a circular bar in back.
From the walls to the floors everything is covered in wood and the dimly-lit indoor bar is draped in neon lights and local flair. This, plus the helpful staff will put any visitor at ease right away.
The musical selection is a wide range of everything from Rock and Reggae to Country, Classic Rock and Hip-Hop. You'll find a rotation of local favorites throughout the week, with some larger shows featuring regional and national acts on stage from time to time.
Head out back and up a flight of stairs and you'll be taken to Pirate's Cove's Bomba Shack Deck, a rooftop bar featuring a full bar, live music seven days a week and one of the best views of the ocean in North Myrtle Beach.
Whether you're looking to cool off from a day at the beach or soak in the sun's rays, the deck offers both covered and open-air seating areas so that you and your friends can take full advantage othe beachfront location.
On stage you'll find some of the beach's best cover bands, solo singers and variety acts throughout the season from March through October.
