Applebee’s

Sure, there’s an almost unending amount of Myrtle Beach restaurants to choose from while vacationing here. Whether you’re in the mood for endless amounts of fried seafood, a great steak dinner, international cuisine, or creative new fare – the Grand Strand’s got you covered.

But sometimes you just want something familiar. And that’s okay, too, because there are plenty of national chains in the area to satisfy that urge.

Applebee’s is one such eatery, because hey – they don’t call it the Neighborhood Bar & Grill for nothing.

Applebee’s Food

Where to begin? The menu here features everything from Lunch Combos to dinner-sized Entrées, and evolves with current trends.

For Sandwiches, options include American standards like the Four-Cheese Grille, served with a bowl of tomato basil soup; a double-stacked BLT; Turkey, Avocado and Bacon on Ciabatta; and a Chicken Fajita Roll-Up.

The Appetizers, available at lunch or dinner, is a collection of new takes on old classics. Options include Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip, Classic Wings, Grilled Chicken Wonton Tacos, Queso Dip, and many more.
Being a crowd-pleasing restaurant, the menu also includes a Fan Favs section, where guests determine the content by voting online. The current list includes such creations as the Quesadilla Burger, Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp, Crosscut Ribs, and Shrimp N’ Parmesan Sirloin.

Entrees and Main Dishes are divided by protein, and highlights include the Grilled Sweet Onion Sirloin, Double-Glazed Baby Back Ribs, Lemon Parmesan Shrimp, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Shrimp Scampi Linguini, and Sizzling Double Barrel Whiskey Sirloins.

For lighter appetites, a wide range of Salad options is always available, like the Seasonal Berry & Spinach Salad, Oriental Chicken Salad, and the Fiesta Chicken Chopped Salad.

Of course, most of the their menu is subject to change and new items are always popping up, but if you like the main themes of their culinary aim, you’ll probably be pleased with whatever new creations they come up with.

Applebee’s Atmosphere

Fittingly, the dining area and bar space is always lit to feel like a cozy place where you’d go after work to hang out with friends. Booths line the outside of the restaurant, with larger and smaller tables filling out the inner portion of the floor before giving way to the bar. And the walls never lack decoration – signs, paintings, and memorabilia (often local), always give diners something to look at in case conversation is sparse.
