This Carolina Forest Italian joint specializes in brick oven pizzas, but the offerings don’t stop there. The menu also features numerous pasta dishes, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and desserts.
Also, the traditional recipes here have been in the family for almost a half century, and the chef uses fresh ingredients to ensure that guests have the tastiest meal possible.
Let’s start with the pizza, which are 18-inches, handspun, topped with whatever you wish, and cooked in their brick oven. The Boston Special is covered in peppers, mushrooms, onions, sausage, meatballs, ham, and pepperoni – doesn’t really get much more Italian-American than that. Other specialty pie options include White Garlic, Shrimp Scampi, Eggplant Parm, Philly Steak, and Greek, among others.
Those in the mood for pasta will no doubt find something that suits their fancy here. Aside from the Homemade Lasagna, the extensive list also includes various Alfredo, Parmigiana, Marsala, Ravioli, in addition to favorites like Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Chicken Francaise, Spaghetti & Meatballs, and Stuffed Rigatoni.
The foot-long Sandwich list includes Chicken Parm, Eggplant Parm, Meatball Parm, Philly Steak Bomb, Chicken Philly, Italian, as well as a Baked Cheese Calzone, and Stromboli with meatball, sausage, pepperoni, ham, and mozzarella.
And while you’re waiting on your entrée to come out, check out the Appetizer list and snack on some Fried Cheese Ravioli, Buffalo Wings, Mozz Sticks, Garlic Bread, or Pizza Bread.
For those who choose to dine-in, the seating options include table-clothed tables in the main room, a very nice wooden bar, and tall, round tables in the area adjacent.
The emphasis here is definitely on the food, but that’s not to say that the atmosphere is lacking. After all, it’s a pizzeria – just make yourself comfortable and enjoy the meal.
