Habibi’s Cafe and Market is owned by the Safa family who cater to people looking for Mediterranean foods. Mr. and Mrs. Safa run the market where you can pick up imported olives, dates, tahini, flatbread and much more. The Safa’s are knowledgeable and friendly as you navigate the exotic goods. Mazen Safa, their son, runs the adjoining Mediterranean cafe.
The cafe’s menu is simple and easy to navigate. Gyro’s, kabobs of chicken, beef and lamb, falafels and humosse are crowd favorites. Their taboule salad is bold and delicious and the baba gonoush is creamy and light. If you have a picky eater in your crowd, Habibi’s offers chicken fingers, fries, cheese sticks, etc. to satisfy their appetites. Try a bottle of mango or uava juice, they are sweet and satisfying. Finish up with a slice of baklava from the cafe or halvah or Turkish delight from the market. Their menu prices are affordable, ranging from $4.99 to $13.99.
Habibi’s Cafe has a few tables for diners with a television and sports and New York memorabilia on the walls. There is a display case for deserts and a menu board above the counter for easy ordering. The staff is friendly and parking is available in front and behind the building.
