Opened in 2007 as a sports bar, Island Bar & Grill has stayed true to its focus of serving sports fans throughout the years. Since the restaurant has grown in popularity since its doors opened, the owner decided to enhance Island Bar & Grill by offering a full-service menu as well.
As expected with any great sports bar, Island Bar & Grill offers a ton of options for appetizers. You can find your standard bar food here like fried mushrooms, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, fried calamari, and chicken fingers here. But, Island Bar & Grill also offers unique appetizers like the ahi tuna nachos, pierogis, Cajun shrimp angels, Caribbean spring rolls, potstickers, and more. Soups and salads are also available.
If you’re craving a burger like many people do while at a sports bar, Island Bar & Grill gives you the option of building your own burger from the list of ingredients available. Start by choosing a ground beef or grilled chicken patty and then build from there. If you’re sharing, there is an option to order mini-burgers as well.
Island Bar & Grill made it a point to feature a variety of quesadillas on their menu. Try a traditional quesadilla made with beef, chicken, steak, or shrimp, or go for another option like the Rodeoadilla which contains BBQ chicken, fried onions, tomatoes, and cheese.
Other meal options include a wide array hot wraps like the chicken bacon ranch and bang bang shrimp wraps, and subs and sandwiches such as po’boys, Philly cheese steak, gyro, and more.
Of course, you can always show up and enjoy one (or two) of a large selection of beers available along with some jumbo premium wings (there’s a ton of sauces to choose from).
Island Bar & Grill is easy to find in its fun location; located in the Village Shops in Pawleys Island (just steps away from the Hammock Shops), the restaurant boasts an easygoing atmosphere in a town that is relaxed and fun at the same time. Though it is technically a sports bar, families are welcomed and pets are even allowed on the back patio.
