Mammy’s Kitchen

Mammy’s Kitchen is a true Myrtle Beach tradition, standing on the same downtown location since 1953. Although the owners and menus have changed over the years, Mammy’s has remained a fixture on the itineraries of hungry visitors and locals for generations. Current owners Mike and Missy Lambert have taken the restaurant to a new level of excellence, with friendly service and consistently good food.

Mammy’s Kitchen Food

Mammy’s serves three squares a day during the summer months, and it’s tough to pick which time of day to visit. Breakfast is the bomb, featuring a full buffet of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast, home fries, grits and more. Lunchtime offers a wide range of soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches but the breakfast buffet runs to noon for late risers. Dinner attracts a large crowd for the combination of seafood and country-cooking classics. The best thing on the menu is the all-you-can-eat crab legs feast. Mammy’s gets the best and biggest crab legs in town and delivers them hot from the steamer to your table with crackers and drawn butter. They’re good enough to make you slap your Mammy.

Mammy’s Kitchen Atmosphere

Mammy’s Kitchen is a classic American diner, featuring booths and tables that give it a homey feel. The guests are a big part of the family environment, with longtime locals and generations of returning visitors sharing conversation between tables, at the buffet or with the staff. The downtown location makes it a nice gathering spot before or after hitting the attractions.
