The Original Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood

Longtime patrons know to look for the lighthouse on Restaurant Row for the best local

seafood buffet. Featuring Calabash-style cooking, which involves lightly battered and fried
fresh seafood, the Original Benjamin’s brought the unique cuisine to Myrtle Beach and
introduced it to the masses. Many seafood buffets have sprung up since Benjamin’s arrival,
but it’s still the original.

Original Benjamin’s Food

Good food and lots of it; that’s what keeps them coming back for more at the Original
Benjamin’s. Featuring more than 170 items, the restaurant also features a raw bar filled with
shrimp, crab legs and other bounties from the sea, a carving station with roast beef and
prime rib, a pasta station, in-house bakery and a dessert bar. Most popular of all is the crab
bar, an entire station covered in Alaskan snow crab claws that have been steamed to
perfection. Guests can pay an extra charge for all-you-can-eat crab legs, and you are sure to
run out of room before the Original Benjamin’s runs out of seafood. A special section of the
buffet is set aside for the kids, with pizza, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese available.

Original Benjamin’s Atmosphere

The Original Benjamin’s goes the extra mile in creating a fun and interesting environment in
which to dine. The dining rooms are decorated in a nautical theme that fits the food,
especially since guests can watch fishing boats float up and down the Intracoastal Waterway
through the back windows. The kids are sure to get a kick out of model ships and dry sea
aquarium displays.
