Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery has been commonly referred to as “Scottish Hooters.” Fair or not, the formulas for the two national chains are the same: Scantily clad waitresses, hot food and cold beer. It’s a can’t-miss combination for its demographic (young, male, sports fan) and a great place to catch (or play) a game. Its Broadway at the Beach location makes it as much a bar as a restaurant.
Typical bar fare with a Scotch-Irish flair. Starters like the Drunken Clams, steamed in beer and served with garlic bread for dipping, and Roasted Garlic Fries give the menu a kick, and the chicken wings come in a variety of sauces that tingle the taste buds. Salads, wraps, burgers and sandwiches are the meat of the menu. The Big Arse Burgers come with a wide range of toppings and the Hot Pastrami Sandwich is a house specialty. Flatbread pizzas and Fish and Chips are solid choices, but the most options come in liquid form. Fifteen draft beers ranging from top-selling domestic to hard-to-find imports are on tap, and even more brands are available in a bottle.
The Tilted Kilt is a traditional sports bar wrapped in tartan, featuring dozens of flat-screen TVs scattered throughout the establishment. Sports signage and Scotch-Irish artwork line the walls, and a billiards room, bar area and dining room provide plenty of space and options for your party. The crowd is mostly male but couples, families and even gal pals have been known to hang at the Kilt.
