Stretching along the Intracoastal Waterway, Barefoot Landing features boardwalk-front shops like Beach House, Del Sol, Blue Moon Trading, Carolina Hat Company, Caroline Vineyards Winery, Francesca’s Collections, M.R. Ducks, Monkee’s, Ron Jon’s Surf Shop, Sand & Sun, Purpleologist, Southern Connection, Tiki Jim’s, The Mole Hole, Tara Grinna Swimwear and dozens more. Stroll along the waterfront and stock up on souvenirs for some retail therapy.
Stop off for a bite to eat at the array of restaurants, including Blueberry’s Grill, Dick’s Last Resort, Greg Norman’s Australian Grille, River City Cafe, Wild Wing Cafe, Umberto’s or Lucy Buffett’s Lulu’s. Opened by Lucy Buffett, the sister of singer songwriter Jimmy Buffett, Lulu’s offers food, drinks and a sandy beach for playing corn hole or volleyball. Visitors can also rent miniature boats and go for a spin around the Intracoastal Waterway.
Barefoot Landing also offers miniature boat rentals for taking a spin around the Intracoastal Waterway, and Alligator Adventure gives guests the chance to see all types of reptiles, birds and other creatures. The Alabama Theatre, named after the CMA Hall of Fame band that got its start on the Grand Strand, provides quality live entertainment nightly, including variety shows and concerts. The House of Blues serves up Southern cooking and hospitality as well as live music in the bar and concert hall.
Barefoot Landing also hosts regular and special events, including weekly fireworks shows over Lake Barefoot and kids festivals at the Carousel.
