It's that time of the year again that everyone loves: Tax Free Weekend in South Carolina! Gear up for the upcoming school year by heading to locals stores and malls to get all the items you need for school tax free. From clothing and backpacks for kids still in school, to dorm room bedding and stationary for college kids, there are tons of fantastic tax free deals going on from August 4-6, 2017 in the Myrtle Beach area.

Not all items are tax free, though, as the state of South Carolina only provides tax breaks on purchases related to school. Some tax free items include clothing, footwear, bedding, school supplies, computers, and much more.

Barefoot Landing

Located in North Myrtle Beach, Barefoot Landing is a great family-friendly outdoor shopping plaza that is home to several restaurants, attractions, and speciality stores. Choose some new clothes for school at a variety of retail stores such as Breezin' Up, Del Sol, Earthbound Trading Company, Ron Jon Surf Shop, and more. Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach is one of the top attractions in Myrtle Beach, and it is also a great place to do some tax free shopping. This shopping village, situated among beautiful nature such as oak and pine trees, is a more laid-back than a traditional shopping plaza. Inlet Square Mall

Inlet Square Mall may not have a ton of stores to choose from, but you can definitely do some tax free shopping at this attraction. Search for the perfect "first day of school" outfit at Belk and choose your favorite notebooks from Books-A-Million. There is also a Bed Bath & Beyond

The Market Common

Step out of the big-box retail stores and into a unique atmosphere at The Market Common. This outdoor shopping complex feels like its own little city. Tanger Outlets
