About Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show

Jimmy Buffett was one of the most famous singer-songwriters of all time. While he started his career in the 1970s, he continued to find success over the past 50 years by connecting with fans through his music and lifestyle brand. Buffett is known for writing and performing beach-inspired songs about a laidback tropical lifestyle. His music takes listeners to imaginary places like "Margaritaville," capturing the spirit of fun and relaxation.

Buffett's devoted fans, called "Parrotheads," are a testament to his broad appeal and span all ages and backgrounds but are united in their love of Buffett's music and island escapism.

So join us at the Alabama Theatre, Friday June 28th at 8pm for some tropical vibes with The Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show, featuring Barrie Cunningham’s Adventures in Parrotdise. This special date will also coincide with International Parrothead Day.

Musician Barrie Cunningham's ADVENTURES IN PARROTDISE band and singers have been performing Buffett's songs for decades. His tribute show transports the audience to Buffett's musical world. Barrie sings all the “Songs You Know by Heart” album including "Come Monday", "Cheeseburger In Paradise", "Volcano", "Fins", "Changes In Latitudes Changes in Attitudes", and the national anthem of all Parrotheads, "Margaritaville". He also performs songs Jimmy recorded like Van Morrison’s "Brown Eyed Girl", and the CSN’s hit "Southern Cross" as well as recent hit recordings like his duets with Alan Jackson, "It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere" and Zac Brown, "Knee Deep".

You will hear several former Jimmy Buffett Coral Reefer Band members such as ROGER BARTLETT, DOYLE GRISHAM and many more. This incredible lineup of artists have all performed with Barrie and his band at different times to make this the most credible and authentic Buffett tribute show anywhere.
