The Best Days to Book Your Hotel in Myrtle Beach

The Best Days to Book Your Hotel in Myrtle Beach

We understand that everyone’s vacation is not the same, and that all visitors to the Myrtle Beach area have different budgets, different agendas, and different favorite times to visit during the year. For those who work or go to school, the ideal time to visit is when they can get time off from work (like on the weekend or during a holiday), so hotel rates tend to be higher during these times.

However, if you’re trying to save some hard-earned cash while booking your vacation, consider booking on a day that you may not have normally thought about. Less popular days typically bring lower prices, and, in turn, you can save some extra dough, which you can spend on fun things to do while you’re in Myrtle Beach.

We’ve created a guide to help you decide the best time to book your fantastic Myrtle Beach vacation. Though there are no guarantees that these estimates will be correct 100% of the time, these are trends that have been documented throughout the years. While keeping this list in mind, it is always important to weigh your options and compare rates from many different properties of your choice before making a final decision.

3-Day Vacations

For those of you planning on spending 3 days in Myrtle Beach, the best time to visit is from Tuesday-Thursday. If you check in on Tuesday and check out on Thursday, then you will be greeted by (generally) the most inexpensive hotel rates of any week. Of course, the lower rates are due to less traffic coming in and out of hotels from Tuesday-Thursday, so attractions and restaurants will have less waiting times and less crowds as well.

4-Day Vacations

If you’re planning a 4-day visit to Myrtle Beach, then the best time to book your vacation is from Monday-Thursday of any given week. Since many people travel on the weekend, Friday tends to be a busy day to check out. Also, rates tend to go up on Fridays along with the rise of visitors. So, if you plan ahead to check out on Thursday, you will not only miss higher rates but you will also miss crowds and heavier traffic.

5-Day Vacations

Based on the information we’ve already provided, it’s quite easy to guess that the best time to book 5-day vacations would be from Monday-Friday.  Booking your trip during this period allows you to completely dodge the weekend traffic and higher rates. While some days, like Friday, may be a little more costly than Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, at least you will avoid the high rates on Saturday and Sunday.

7-Day Vacations

Of course, booking a 7-day stay won’t allow you to avoid days with higher rates, since, well, you’ll be staying an entire week! However, the best thing to do in this situation is weigh your options by comparing rates from several resorts and hotels, as well as look for deals. Many properties offer discounted rates for longer stays, which will help you save some money. You can find deals here.
