October is here, and that means Halloween is in the air! If you're looking for fun Halloween things to do this year, you're in luck. From family-friendly events to adult Halloween parties and more, there are tons of awesome Halloween festivities going on in the area. Check out this list of things to do for Halloween in Myrtle Beach:
Kids Drive In Movie Night at Thompson Farm
Join Thompson Farm for one of their Kids Drive In Movie Nights each Saturday this October. Make sure to bring your child's favorite toy car or ride-on toy as well as something for yourself to sit on. The movie schedule is:

Myrtle Beach Truck or Treat
The Sun News will be hosting the Myrtle Beach Truck-or-Treat at Broadway at the Beach on October 14. This family-friendly event will features tons of cool trucks handing out candy to kids in costumes. The event will also have a horn-free hour from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Guests will enjoy a costume contest and other fun things to do.
Candy in the Corn Trick or Treat Trail
Head out to Thompson Farm each Saturday this October for the Candy in the Corn Trick or Treat Trail! Kids will have a blast winding through the corn maze and finding their own treats, all while in their Halloween costume! There will also be character appearances from adored characters that your kiddos will surely want to meet.
Grand Strand Witches' Night
Break out your black pointed hat for Grand Strand Witches' Night on October 14. This annual event will be hosted at the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk. Proceeds from raffle tickets will be donated to the Childrens' Recovery Center of Myrtle Beach.
Conway Ghost Walks: Spirits of the Lowcountry
Head out to Downtown Conway for Conway Ghost Walks on October 19 – 21. Guests will learn all about the history and ghost lore of Conway on an hour long walk around the city. Tours will take off each night, every 15 minutes from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for kids 12 and under.
The House of Blues will be hosting the Dr. Scream's Scare Park from October 19-31. Brave souls will make their way through Dr. Scream's Fright Manor, Chuckles Twisted Circus, and Zombie Apocalypse – all for one price!
Trunk or Treat at Fun Warehouse
Round up the kiddos and head to Fun Warehouse on October 26 for some Halloween fun! Trunk or Treat at Fun Warehouse will feature vendors handing out candy to kids in costume as well as live entertainment and other fun Halloween festivities. Best of all, this event is free for all ages!
Brews, Grooves & Boos Halloween Bash
Check out the Brews, Grooves & Boos Halloween Bash at the House of Blues on October 27. This fun Halloween event will start at 4 p.m. and will include craft beer sampling, a costume contest, live music, and tons of Halloween fun.
Huntington's Haunted Halloween
Round up the whole family and head on down to Huntington State Park for Huntington's Haunted Halloween on Friday, October 27. The family-friendly event will feature games, movies, bonfires, two haunted houses, and much more.
Spooktacular Bash at Thompson Farm
Join Thompson Farm for the 3rd annual Spooktacular Halloween Bash on October 27, 2017. The event will feature a costume party, family activities, inflatables, flashlight fun in the corn maze, a bonfire, and tons of other Halloween-themed festivities.
Funny Fright Night at Uptown Theater
Looking for something different to do to celebrate Halloween? Check out Funny Fright Night at Uptown Theater on October 27 & 28! This improv comedy show will feature tons of laughs with a Halloween twist. This show is for ages 13 and up.
Ripley's Boo-quarium Bash
Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach will be hosting the Boo-quarium Bash on October 28. This family-friendly event is free with paid admission to the aquarium. Guests will get into the Halloween spirit with a costume parade and contest and other Halloween festivities.
BooFest! at Barefoot Landing
Dress up your kids and pets in their best Halloween costumes and head to BooFest! at Barefoot Landing on October 28. The family-friendly event will include costume contests for pets and kids, as well as activities, live entertainment, and more.
The City of North Myrtle Beach will be hosting How-O-Scream on October 28 from 5-8 p.m. at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. This family-friendly event will have scary and non-scary zones, as well as trick-or-treating, and tons of Halloween fun. Admission is $5 and there will be concessions for sale.
Conway Halloween Carnival
The Conway Recreation Center will be hosting the Conway Halloween Carnival on October 28. This event, which is great for the whole family, will feature carnival games, a costume contest, prizes, and much more. The costume contest will begin at 7:15 p.m. and there will also be an outdoor movie at 8:45 p.m.
Halloween Bash on the Avenue
Join Broadway at the Beach for their Halloween Bash on the Avenue! This annual event includes a huge party with music from DJ Rich, as well as a costume contest.
2001 Nightclub Spooktacular Halloween Bash
Put your dancin' shoes (and costumes) on and head to 2001 Nightclub for their Spooktacular Halloween Bash. This will happen on October 28 and will include live music from the No Limit Band.
Ripley's Aquarium is hosting a fun Spook-quarium Sleepover on October 28! Have your kids dress up in their favorite Halloween costume and they'll enjoy a haunted aquarium walk, a scavenger hunt, crafts, snacks, and more. Pre-registration is required as space is limited.
Toto's Day on the Farm
Dress your doggie up in his or her best Halloween costume and make your way to Thompson Farm on October 29 for Toto's Day on the Farm! This is the only day that dogs are allowed on the farm, so be sure to stop by. This event is free with regular admission.
Halloween Trick or Treat at Broadway at the Beach
Looking for a place to go trick-or-treating this Halloween? Participating stores will be handing out candy to kids in costumes on Halloween day from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Broadway at the Beach! Don't miss the Halloween fireworks at 8 p.m.
Halloween on the MarshWalk
The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk will be hosting the annual Halloween on the MarshWalk celebration on Halloween night. The event will have a costume contest for kids and one for adults, as well as trick-or-treating and other fun Halloween things to do. Trick-or-treating begins at 5 p.m. and other festivities will follow.
Trick or Treating at Barefoot Landing
Barefoot Landing will be hosting trick-or-treating on Halloween night. Participating stores will be handing out candy to kids in costumes from 5-7 p.m.

Celebrate Halloween at The Market Common this year. Halloween at The Market Common will feature trick-or-treating from 5-7 p.m. There will also be free carriage rides and fun activities in front of the movie theater.
