About Brookgreen Gardens Labor Day 5K
Run in one of the best and most scenic races! For the second year in a row, Brookgreen Gardens is hosting their Labor Day 5k. Race throughout the many gardens and trails of this beautifully renowned site!
This event is a great way for walkers, runners or even people who would rather cheer from the sidelines, to enjoy a relaxing, yet exciting Labor Day Weekend. This 5k is part of an “NS Promos Six Race Summer Series” and is the last of all six races. In this program, runners who complete all six races can receive a special gift, additionally, top finishers and scorers for these six races will receive additional prizes.
Aside from this series, Brookgreen Gardens also invites all competitive and non-competitive runners and walkers to spend their Labor Day with them! This year, in addition to the 5k they have also added a 1-mile race.
For each race, participants will have the joy of running or walking through the sculpture gardens and trails through nature preserves. Walkers, runners, and strollers are all welcome, however, dogs are not permitted into Brookgreen Gardens.
Following the race, there will be snacks and refreshments provided by Food Lion. There will also be numerous bathroom facilities and handwashing stations provided on-site. For these races, they will be using gun timing for overall awards and winners and chip timing for age group awards.
To register for the race, participants can only register online and must register before Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 5 pm. This race will then take place that Sunday, soon after registration closes at 5 pm. Some “Race Swag” runners will also receive include a Tri-blend participant t-shirt, a complimentary entry to Brookgreen Gardens at a later date, a medal (5k only), and participation ribbon(1-mile race only).
This race will take place on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 6 pm. Runners and visitors/spectators are allowed entrance starting at 4:30 on race day. This race is a fun, exciting way for everyone to enjoy Labor Day whether through competing, volunteering or cheering on the runners!
